Oregon football defensive lineman Brandon Dorlus ‘no other option’ but to play in Fiesta Bowl

Brandon Dorlus will cap his Oregon career with a 57th game, including his third New Year’s Six bowl.

Opinion: The undoing of (The P12) CFB

This is has been longstanding process and cannot be fairly attributed to only USC and UCLA unless you are only talking P12, and even then, it's far more complicated. Still, a good op ed, even though it ignores the slow grind and exponential acceleration of the implosion. I'm old enough to recall the ACC adding the likes of Miami, BC, Syrac. to add TV revenue, recruiting footprint, money etc. The B1G added long time ACC members Maryland et al for the same reasons. Then the SEC ATM and later TX and Okl.
Time for leadership and creative thinking-- or just let the "invisible hand" deal with it?
Happy CFB Holidays, ya'll!

Seattle Times reporting shows that

UW not only did not “deliver a notice of withdrawal before August 1, 2024” in violation of the bylaws, it explicitly disclaimed that it was doing so, and explicitly advised that UW would remain a Pac 12 member through August 1, 2024.

I assume UO and the others did the same.

Funny how Wilner, Canzano, and the rest never mentioned what the departing schools actually said.

Merry Christmas to all.

Colorado, Arizona State lead college football transfer portal team rankings for 2024

Only Colorado has a higher ranking than ASU, coming in at No. 1 on the list.

Early signing day eve - where is the excitement?!

Lanning is killing it in recruiting. Our expecting early signing is expected to be fantastic. Have our expectations become so high that we just cant get excited unless we get three 5 star recruits? participation is at a low level. I keep coming on here to see if there are new comments. But there are just a few comments a day.

PAC 2 & Departing 10 Settle

PAC 2 got a better deal than many predicted based on this early report. I wish them Godspeed, and hope they keep the conference alive in some fashion.

DJ Uiagalelei, QB, Oregon State

So...

I've tried hard not to knock any of the kids that play college football.

They try their best and I have never talked them down.

However, now that almost every one of them is a pro...I'm starting to rethink that program.

In that light, and still trying to be as nice as possible, can anybody explain to me the love affair with DJ?

I'm sure that he is a great kid, but I cannot see why he is consistently mentioned/ranked among the top portal guys (like in the Top 25 or so).

High school aside, I just cannot see that based on his CFB play.

After all of his time in college, are teams still looking at him based on potential?

School me, please.

Flock Talk: Warm Summer Sun

They can throw a bunch of schools together, give it the Pac-12 branding and it still won’t attract a ton of viewers. The spin released by those two schools really shows one thing: their intent all along was to take the earnings of the other schools because they were frustrated at their own unattractiveness.

Kenny Dillingham: Arizona State’s 2024 recruiting efforts about honesty, size

To Dillingham, the second recruiting class in charge and first with a full year leading the Sun Devils was about targeting size in the trenches.

Dillingham said that he told presumed 2024 starter, Jaden Rashada, that he would target a quarterback in the transfer portal.

2024 College football coaching carousel grades: Jonathan Smith nabs 'A+' as Jeff Lebby begins uphill battle

Trent Bray:
This is more of a program grade. The loss of Smith and two QBs (Chiles, DJ Uiagalelei) were evidence of the Beavers' diminished standing with the Pac-12 collapsing. The football budget is about to plummet. Oregon State is competing in a vacuum as it just completed a scheduling agreement with the Mountain West. Bray must recruit at a power-league level without such designation.
