QUAAAAACK: Dak Moore

When this one first got announced last night, there was a certain quiet confidence on the staff that Moore was going to be a Duck. Texas worked really hard on this one during the day and started to get more confident. At one point I spoke with a source who would only say 'coming down to the wire' but the source was not resigned to bad news and the Ducks simply kept talking with who they needed to talk with to remind Moore and his family of why he was leaning Oregon for a while down the stretch.

Essentially this came down to relationships and the family has been very clear that Oregon did the best job of establishing relationships as the base for their recruiting efforts and at the end of the day, that is really what this decision was about.

QUAAAACK: Brame is a Duck

Mentioned yesterday that I was not sure the late Tennessee smoke was going to change things...

On a similar note, there have been some murmurs surrounding DaSaahn Brame and Tennessee. I am not really sure how true those rumblings are as I know the Ducks have been the team to beat for quite some time. Nonetheless, the rumors are out there and they are something to keep an eye on as Brame gets close to making a decision. I still like Oregon, but it is not quite as definitive as it seemed a week ago.

QUAAAACK: Five-star RB Jordon Davison commits to Ducks

Five-star running back Jordon Davison will announce his college decision Friday, and Oregon remains one of three programs in the running as he nears his decision. He spoke with Adam Gorney at the Rivals Five-Star about his upcoming announcement.

“My relationship with coach Samples is surely growing. He came in at the last minute of my recruitment but he’s been nothing but great to me and my family. He has his whole plan of how he’s going to get me to the next level. To be that young and have all that experience it’s truly an eye-opener."

Big Boy prediction

Haven’t heard about Pepe in forever… interesting that Rivals is predicting a 2026 guy this early

There are still a ton of schools involved with Pepe, who’s originally from California but has been at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy for a few years. Still, Oregon is definitely one to watch to bring him back West but Florida State, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Washington and UCLA are all involved.
