at least with Boykin and Doctson. My reasoning is this is now a no win situation around the country. We win and it's because those two didn't play, we lose and we look ridiculous. It would kind of be like losing to a team playing their 3rd string Q.B. Oh snap we've been there....LOL.

I understand the most important thing is a win and in the long run who cares how you got it......just sharing my initial thoughts. I also realize it really isn't important what the rest of the country thinks but I just happen to enjoy good press personally....

Anybody else see it this way or am I alone on an island??

Going into the recruiting home stretch the Ducks have 19 commits plus (yet another!) QB graduate transfer. Some classes total 20 scholarships but of course the math is always fuzzy because of unknown attrition, etc.

How many more do you think will be Ducks between now and signing day?

It will be interesting to see the Ducks play against this 4-2-5 that is very quick but small. I expect the Ducks to start out pounding it between the tackles. Less passing and less outside run game than usual.

Not helping the DUCKS that the BIG12 is so so bad! SEC picks up 3-4 easy wins against this conference...hope we give them a beat down too, cause we'll never hear the end of it, if we're the only team to lose to them!

Today I did a prospect profile piece on McDoom. His 100 speed is good, similar to what Charles Nelson ran as a senior in high school... but as a sophomore McDoom is listed with a 48.42 400 time... that is actually faster than what Mike Berry ran at the same age!

Thought Ram would enjoy that tidbit...

For targeting. He is the same dirty player who tried to injure Mariota when they played Oregon.

Is this really true? If so I am really disappointed. Coach H had the chance to hire tons of people and the best one is Lubick? Never been an OC and never coached QB's which is a bigger concern. I just feel Oregon Football is doing things the easy want not innovative enough and we are eroding not getting better as we have done for years. The guy from MSU seemed like a GREAT fit and Lubick wasn't going anywhere. Maybe that guy can come in as QB coach? All our coaches only have experience or their highest lever of experience at Oregon and I just don't think that makes sense. Look at other schools wanting to contend for titles they don't hire Coordinators who have never been coordinators. Last year we were the ONLY School in D 1 who's OC DC and Head Coach had never had that job anywhere else. I would love to hear feedback about this but the "Oregon Way" of hiring from within is old. We have outgrown that. Find the smartest best guy for the job. I bet Costa will be QB coach who again has NEVER had that job anywhere. Just seems lazy to me. Please tell me I'm wrong but I will be tough to sell on that.

was a bit awkward, but here is the press conference. They didn't break out to one on one interviews, as they didn't want the kids to have to answer questions about Boykin. They didn't get their wish of not talking about Boykin as Boykin was obviously a huge topic

anyone else hearing Mora or some key members of his staff may be on the way out? Bruin friend I know is saying there could be some big news coming.

Just want to see if anyone at the game has a tailgate or wants to meet up with 3 duck fans before the game. My wife and my bud Tim are here and we are pretty much going to troll around downtown and hit bars and whatnot unless there is a tailgate to go to.

We checked in with Amani Bledsoe at the Semper Fi Bowl in Southern CA. He seemed to light up when talking about Oregon.
