This morning I heard a brief review by two track recruiting analyst.
Keeping in mind that this is just the end of round 1 in the track recruiting story, the analyst gave what they considered a progress report of what schools performed the best.
They broke recruiting into three groups..Bubble Schools, Mid Tier Schools, and Top Schools.
They defined bubble schools as those school that are only a top recruit or two alway from being in the running for the top. Mid Tier was defined as schools that are "in the hunt" to be the top class, but not quite there now. The top schools were their opinion of the one best recruiting class in the country.
Each analyst gave his pick for the three categories.
For Bubble Class one analyst picked Wisconsin. The other picked a tie between FSU and Alabama.
For Mid Tier one picked Texas and the other Texas Tech.
For the "top class" they didn't agree . One picked Oregon. The other said that he wasn't "so impressed" with the Oregon class, and emphatically ranked Stanford as the being the top class at this point in the recruiting cycle.
Hmmm, this could be an interesting competition before it's all over.
