This new format allows some new things for publishing and one of them is the creation of Lists and Rankings. The first ranking I took a stab at was looking through all the 2018 prospects in the State of Oregon and ranking the top 12.

This is of course prior to their senior seasons and I will adjust the rankings periodically based on how the State's D-1 prospects perform this year.

So tell me how I did with the 2018 DSA Dozen - Oregon

My depth chart (just went through roster on GoDucks again) shows 61 current scholarships. AJ said 60 but I can't find that spot. We have 4 (Alie, Wheeler, Schneider, Apelu) who are former walk-ons, which means term by term schollie (correct?). So 24 or 25 spots if these keep their rides. We will have no problem filling, the question is who gets turned away?

17 commits (3 enrolled). 7 or 8 spots.
Today: Judson; today/tomorrow: D.Davis;
by Sun. night: Artis, Falo, Burch (is there a spot for him?);
Sometime: Gibson, Lenoir, Moore (edit-forgot);
That totals 7 and we still have (at varying levels of confidence): Falaniko, Moore, Speed, Becton. There is also Tongamea (not much heard lately) and some hope for Brooks, any hope for Greg Johnson (?).

When does the door shut, and who would they hold a spot until LOI day for?

Here is the current class ranking projection. I will update it after today's commits. The good news is that the Ducks will very likely finish in the Top 25.

This is coming straight from Auburn insiders sources (industry source), that Dameyune Craig could be heading to Oregon to be Co-Offensive coordinator and QB coach. Could mean that Cristobal takes over the TE job.

Why Auburn sources? Craig coached at Auburn for 3 years prior to heading to LSU for one season.

This would be absolutely huge.

Was talking with a friend in PDX who has some close contacts in the football program and he mentioned to me that he heard that Mattingly may be moved to TE. Apparently he was a very good one in high school at that position.

So I posted that he was a Dumb Mother.......

He is.

And I would be as well if I did what he is alleged to have done. And so would you be.

However.......I am in La Pine, Oregon right now in about 3 feet of snow working on my house.

Went to the hardware store late yesterday afternoon and then stopped at the local sports bar to watch the BB game.

Had a couple of drinks and dinner and then when I pulled out onto the highway and started heading home in the snow, ice, and darkness....and I got pulled over by a cop.

Apparently, when I was trying to dig my cell phone out of my back pocket I swerved over the fog line.

It ended up being no problem because I was not inhibited, but still....

I tell you that to tell you this:

I don't know Reaves but if he has a serious problem then I certainly hope he gets the help he needs.

Also, I don't feel so sanctimonious anymore after getting pulled over.

I immediately thought of Reaves and cut him some slack in my mind.

Still was not right what he is alleged to have done.....but now I'm not gonna throw any stones.
