UCLA/Arizona

I think UCLA got caught looking ahead to Arizona and were lucky to survive. I think they will come out on fire today against Arizona. Any thought as to who we would rather play in the finals, Arizona or UCLA? I just hope it is a physical demanding game with several O.T.'s so that whoever we get has tired legs.

Dye Stat Form Chart Florida UO Co Champions

if this were to actually happen I'd be thrilled and surprised. I think that Ches won't run the DMR and that the Ducks won't win the DMR. In all other cases they seem to have the Ducks finishing at the high end of what I consider the range (except for Ches who I predict will win 3 individual titles) ....but this is what dyestat predicts:

Kaepernick

So he kneeled during the national anthem in 2016… but didn't even vote in the Presidential election? Huh?

Has equality prevailed and things have changed for the better so NOW he can stand in 2017? OR did your agent inform him that most NFL owners have REAL stones and won't throw around millions of dollars to pay for distractions in their company uniform.

Kaep, please just go away so you avoid further confusing our youth by choosing the absolute worst timing and venues for your expressions.

Smith & KC sure made out in spades on that deal...

Track Town Tuesday

I am in Eugene briefly and went to the Track Town Tuesday presentation tonight. Devon Allen was the featured guest. He gave a great interview. They showed film of his NCAA and Olympic Trials victory, his Olympic finals heat, and even film from his first hurdle race in middle school.

Devon announced tonight that he signed with Nike. That received a great applause.

Javelin throwers Cody Danielson and John Nizich were also interviewed. I had a chance to talk with both. They are both really like able. R2Fire, I must say, your nephew is an impressive young man. He is polite, friendly and articulate.

John and Cody will be critical in the Oregon men's quest for a NCAA Outdoor team title this spring.

Vin Lanansa, as always, put in his plug for Hayward Field. He made a good point. Vin said that as Hayward Field goes, so goes the sport in this country. When big meets are hosted at Hayward Field there is a special enthusiasm that becomes contagious. Put simply, Hayward Field fans are the best track fans in the country. We generate an electric energy that is good for track and field, and no US track and field community can do for the sport what Track Town USA does.

Cody Danielson said it best. Cody explained that when he was competing at Hayward Field as a Bruin, an athlete from a university other than Oregon had a great performance and the Oregon fans went wild with applause. He said that that was a moment when he realized just how special the Hayward Field fans are.
