Predict-a-score: Oregon at Nebraska...

I am getting this going early this week due to Friday being a travel day for us. I gave this prediction for an article for the Nebraska site and don't want to contradict myself.

This one is not easy to predict. Oregon’s offense and defense started clicking in their second game, but the same can be said of Nebraska. I will base my prediction on what I have seen with my own two eyes and that is Oregon starting to gel on both sides of the ball. It will be a great game. Oregon 41 – Nebraska 38.

Family, football and life

So, as most know I came down early and spent some time with Some family. This is my "surrogate" family from my Marine Corps years... A family that took a wayward and struggling18 year old kid and welcomed him to their home.

I made these plans not knowing that they were fractured. Dad passed at the hands of a negligent pharmacist and the family was never the same.

Today was the first time in several years that three of my sister's have been in the same room together. To see them hug, laugh, cry, and share their lives again was incredibly rewarding. To hug them all in the same night and tell them how much I miss and love them was awe inspiring.

I stayed in Kansas City until almost 10:00pm before heading to Lincoln. I missed all of those things that I once thought would make this trip special and yet I have zero regrets. Dad guided this trip to bring some healing to a fractured family and I am so grateful and humbled to have been this fortunate. I got I to Lincoln at 1:00 am... I will see you all tomorrow; more grateful than ever to be blessed to share my thoughts with DSA.

Frost and Durkin, former Duck vs former Tree

I didn't realize Frost was on Maryland's short list. One has to speculate his plan is to rebuild CFU, make recruiting connections in Fla, then take a marquise job such as NU when Riley retires, or is fired.

Now my SO and me are on the VA leg of our journey and have proper CFB news and media access. Dad even agreed to DVR the UM vs CU game so we can watch NU live!

Dillon Mitchell's "torn" meniscus.....

was either very minor, has either miraculously healed, was never "torn" in the first place, or the coaches have Mosely writing disinformation for Riley and his staff in his practice reports. Mitchell practiced today and here are a couple of quotes for you from Mosely, "Offensively in that period, Kani Benoit got vertical for a long reception, and Dillon Mitchell made a diving grab at the sideline while falling out of bounds, which none other than Mark Helfrich ruled a reception...." and "Among the guys who practiced fielding punts was Mitchell.".

From experience, I'd lean toward the minor option.
