Pac-12 adds partnership with Fulgent Genetics

This testing protocol takes a bit longer to return, but adds even greater accuracy. Just additional testing to monitor and prevent spread.

Advanced stats: Justin Herbert through two starts

Through his first two starts and 92 dropbacks, Herbert’s 72% rate of on target throws and 81.7% rate of catchable passes rank 14th and eighth, respectively. He’s been blamed with 12 “bad throws” and his 15.2-% bad throw rate is 16th in the NFL, so right around the average and is only a hair behind Aaron Rodgers.

The fact that 41.8% of Herbert’s passing yards have come via air (as opposed to the yards that are picked up after the catch) is the fourth-lowest rate among QBs with at least 50 attempts. Only Dwayne Haskins, Drew Brees and Sam Darnold are getting a lower percentage of their yards in the air.

So does the Pac 12 have a shot at the playoffs?

Starting Nov 7th makes me think the answer is no. Hope I am wrong as if they do not have a shot, I will have the same interest in this season I do in the spring game. I will watch it to see what the future holds in 2021, but they will be playing for nothing. It will be especially disgusting if the reason they won't be considered for the playoff is that they are starting so late. There is absolutely no reason that they cannot start the season on Oct 24th. October 31st is a no brainer. They do not need 6 weeks to get ready to play football. that is a complete joke. Nick Allioti agrees with me. If the players have been working out and are in decent shape, four weeks is time enough to get ready for a football season . Especially with every team in the same boat

Leach w/ Costello @ MSU Take Down LSU

Wow, air raid is in the SEC now. Not the start Orgeron was looking for.SEC record passing yards in 1st game.

TRAAAAACK

News by way of a post on Chile ducks's board:

The Ducks are getting another Jamaican sprinter! Apparently, Kemba Nelson has committed to Oregon. She is the 100m and 200m teenage Jamaica national champion.
PRs ....100m 11.49 200m 23.47. Keep them coming!

She could be seen as a high 4 star or a low 5 star talent. I think that we will discover that she is a 5 star talent.. She is strong in two events, and anytime you get a Jamaican teenage sprint champion it is a head turner.I doubt that she will go pro right out of high school.

I want to note that Jamaican Brianna Williams is the world's fastest teenager in the 100m and 200m. Brianna did finish ahead of Kemba in the 100m, but was DQed over having a banned substance in her blood. It was later decided that it was not her fault and she may continue to race. However the DQ at the Jamaican U20 sticks, Williams is the most gifted girls' sprinter in world track history.
