Does it matter to Oregon who the Ohio State quarterback is?

Mike and Adam think it's probably going to be C.J. Stroud, but like the Ducks there's an intense spring competition for the starting job. All of the candidates are young and inexperienced, but very talented.

Transfer TRAAAAACK

According to a poster on Chile’s track board (who is never wrong), superstar freshman middle distance runner Caleb Brown will be transferring from Wisconsin to UO. He will have all of his eligibility remaining.

Although Wisconsin is a traditional powerhouse in the mid and long distance events, the current success that Ben Thomas is having makes Oregon a special draw.

When Andy and Melissa Powell left Oregon to coach at Washington, it looked like a big loss for the program. It was actually a blessing in disguise! Coaches Helen Winter Lehman, and Ben Thomas have been huge additions to the program.

1 $BILLION FROM UNCLE PHIL

Dude has donated over $1 Billion to the Ducks and another Billion to OHSU (among other many donations).

Duarte, Omoruyi earn P-12 honors

Two seniors who helped Oregon win its fourth Pac-12 regular season title in the last six years, Chris Duarte and Eugene Omoruyi, were named to the All-Pac-12 first team on Tuesday, while Duarte was also named to the all-defensive team.

Duarte and Omoruyi gave the Ducks two players on the first team for just the second time since 2003. Dillon Brooks and Elgin Cook were both first team selections in 2016.

Duarte is the seventh Duck in the last seven years to be named to the all-defensive team, but is the first guard from Oregon to make the all-defensive team.

One of five finalists for the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award, Duarte is one of just three players nationally averaging 17.0 points and 1.8 steals per game while shooting 50 percent from the field. He is the only major conference player with those averages.

Duarte leads the Ducks in scoring at 17.3 points per game (fourth in the Pac-12) and leads the conference by making 2.5 three-pointers per game. He is second in the league in steals and has scored in double figures in 19 consecutive games.

The Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, native ranks 10th nationally in three-point field goal percentage at 44.0 percent (55-of-125).

Omoruyi is fifth in the Pac-12 in scoring at 16.9 points per game. He is also ranked among the Pac-12’s top 15 in rebounding, steals and three-point field goal percentage.

The Rexburg, Ontario, native is the only Duck to have started all 24 games this season and has scored in double figures 22 times.

Top-seeded Oregon begins play in the Pac-12 Tournament Thursday at 11:30 a.m. against either Arizona State or Washington State (Pac-12 Network).

Duarte P12 POW, Again....

He's got to be in like for POW. Really polished player who could be a plug and play SG/SF for an NBA team needing depth.
