MSU game score guessing results

Some pretty inpressive work this week with perhaps the biggest challenge of the season eight days ahead. Thee of us, Shark, Rockin and me, got MSU's scoring correct and the guest from beyond the pond was the only one nailing Oregon's point total. Corky, Brandon and Guest Akilli Smith figured out the spread correctly. Actually Shark's 34-10 prediction was amazingly close and he takes away the honor this week.

Shark 122
Rockin 118

Great job guys. Hope to see you all back for the very tough to call game next week

DSA EXCLUSIVE: Marcus Harper II Interview

Good afternoon all,

This is the interview I have been referencing all week. We did this as our first DSA Flock Talk: The Podcast. We discussed a wide range of topics from the game lsat night, to his childhood decision to switch from basketball to football, a little bit of his recruiting stuff from 2020 through the tough end to 2021, and so much more.

For the next several hours this is exclusive to DSA, but I am going to make it free and promote it later this evening.

Hope you enjoy!

Oregon defense dominant in 31-10 win over Michigan State

All in all a bit different. Starting defense was dominant, offense had more brilliance but still some self inflicted wounds that could be much more costly against better teams (like next week's game).

Here is our full game recap from Autzen Stadium:

Bryce Boettcher: "I bleed green and yellow"

Through the first four games, @bryce_boettcher grades out as the best player on the Oregon #GoDucks defense and #4 LB in the nation. Today we wrote a feature article on his work so far this season:

Score guessing contest vs Smith's next failing conquest, MiStake U.

For anyone interested the spread is 24 as I open this up. Don't forget, the game is on Friday night so it's a short week for us score guessers, too. Not that I a not used to coming up a little short in this thing.

The Dux are going up against a coach who is way too familiar but I'm not sure he can instill the rivalry mentality in his new crew, Maybe he can get them to win one for the coach but this is a bottom half team in the conference which is what the Beavers were when Oregon dominated the match-up. With him back near square one I am going to guess 43-10, finally beating a spread.

Friday Gameday

These always feel weird to me. This is the first Friday game since we picked up our RV spot and I am so used to being one of the "last ones in" in our section.

Last night, though, there were maybe 25 or 30 others in which is light compared to normal

As I walked toward the stadium this morning, traffic was flowing on MLK like any normal Friday. It felt eerie not to have a long line of cars waiting to get into parking, or see throngs of people milling around.

In some ways it makes what will happen tonight even more special as the parking lot and then stands fill and the energy goes from very calm to crazy in a much shorter duration.

It still feels strangely calm.

Five-star Jackson Cantwell nugget…

Hey everyone I’m on the scene right now in Nixa, MO, checking out five-star OT Jackson Cantwell. I’ve been told a couple times while I’ve been out here that no one is recruiting him harder than Oregon.

How hard? The Ducks are the only school with a group chat with his dad where every single coach is on it. We hear a lot about Lanning being relentless on the trail and this is a prime example.

Fact or Fiction: Four-star Cal QB commit Jaron Sagapolutele will flip?

Adam Gorney and Marshall Levenson include this in their fact or Fiction today:

Beyond the Pond: Michigan State

We had a chance to speak with @ryanobleness from @SpartansRivals about tonight's game. Some really good insights from Ryan and the entire team at Spartans Illustrated. Check it out right here:

The early 6-foot-1, 185-pounder is coached by Baylin Trujilo, a well-known, well-connected quarterback coach in Florida who is tied to several top prospects in the state. He hasn't yet tendered his offer from the Ducks, but Arkansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Syracuse, and West Virginia are among those from the Power Four who are believing in his abilities. We will see what he has to say about Oregon after his visit for the game against Michigan State.

Exciting potential Ducks future duo from the 2026 cycle, who star for championship-level 4A Weddington High School in Matthews, NC of the Charlotte area are both highly-recruited 4-stars being pursued by top programs across the country. Harris is a force on the defensive line, Davis Jr. is a hybrid who plays all over the field in high school, and is son of Carolina Panthers' linebacker legend who went to Georgia, Thomas Davis. And the two are cousins, and Aiden also plays alongside 3-star brother Andrew on the defensive line.

I will be reaching out to others and adding for information to this thread. Happy Thursday, Duck Sports Authority nation!
