QB MATH

So, Bo may stay or he may go.

Donta may sign or he may flip.

TT, it seems, is not the guy.

How long does DL wait before he offers a Portal QB?

And would a QB...let's say, Card, sign with us if Bo is gonna come back?

Not likely.

So does DL push Bo to make a decision before all of the good Portal QBs are gone?

Seems like a tough position for the Ducks.

A little Bo Nix intel

Hey everyone, I'm down in Mobile this week for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game and had a chance to talk to a few people who know Bo Nix and/or have worked with him throughout his high school and college career.

As some of you might know, a lot of quarterbacks come to the Mobile area for NFL Draft prep following the conclusion of bowl season. I asked around to see if Bo would be coming and right now it seems like he's truly undecided to stay or go. I don't think he's received a draft grade back yet and the word here was that he could project as a late first rounder or as low as a third or fourth round pick.

I think in any normal pre-NIL year, it would be a no-brainer for him to leave. But if Oregon is able to put together a package that is comparable to a third round NFL salary, I think it's very real that he could stay another year.

The final draft grade could go a long way toward helping him make a decision, but I think there are still some moving parts on both sides and at least some hope from an Oregon fan's perspective that he could be back in Eugene next season.

Portal offer: Rhode Island OL Ajani Cornelius

Since entering the transfer portal yesterday, Rhode Island third-year sophomore offensive lineman Ajani "AJ" Cornelius has been a hot name. He's added offers from Missouri, Virginia, Washington State, Kansas, West Virginia, Nebraska, Marshall, Akron, Temple, Cincinnati, Memphis, Louisville, Syracuse, Minnesota and Penn State. The latest school to join the fray is Oregon. The Ducks just offered the 6-foot-5 lineman from New York, and it sounds like the Ducks are going to have a good shot here. He started 22 games at right tackle for the Rams and was a First Team All-CAA selection this year. He was also one of the top-rated FCS offensive linemen according to PFF's grades this season.

He'll be someone to watch closely as the process plays out. Cornelius will have two seasons of eligibility left at his next stop.

Dante Dowdell says he's "still committed" to Oregon despite Ole Miss push

Nick Harris is Alabama for the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star game this week, and he spoke with 4-star Oregon running back commit Dante Dowdell about his pledge to the Ducks and the continued pursuit from Ole Miss. At this point, Dowdell says he remains committed to the Ducks and feels very much wanted by Dan Lanning and the staff. He has not had a chance to speak with Will Stein as of yet but has been keeping in contact with Lanning about the future. He's a midyear enrollee, so he will be signing in a couple weeks.

"He really wants me to come there. I asked him what his team needs to win a national championship and he said 'you' so it feels good to know that I'm needed."

Recruit to watch: Solomon Davis

California two-way athlete Solomon Davis has backed off his commitment to Arizona today. Oregon has been making a strong push for the defensive back/receiver, and he is set to take an official visit to Eugene this weekend. Notre Dame has also been making a stronger push as of late and was to watch him recently. He has an previous relationship with Demetrice Martin, and I'd say the Ducks are now the team to beat for the high three-star recruit.
