Since entering the transfer portal yesterday, Rhode Island third-year sophomore offensive lineman Ajani "AJ" Cornelius has been a hot name. He's added offers from Missouri, Virginia, Washington State, Kansas, West Virginia, Nebraska, Marshall, Akron, Temple, Cincinnati, Memphis, Louisville, Syracuse, Minnesota and Penn State. The latest school to join the fray is Oregon. The Ducks just offered the 6-foot-5 lineman from New York, and it sounds like the Ducks are going to have a good shot here. He started 22 games at right tackle for the Rams and was a First Team All-CAA selection this year. He was also one of the top-rated FCS offensive linemen according to PFF's grades this season.
He'll be someone to watch closely as the process plays out. Cornelius will have two seasons of eligibility left at his next stop.
