Nick Harris is Alabama for the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star game this week, and he spoke with 4-star Oregon running back commit Dante Dowdell about his pledge to the Ducks and the continued pursuit from Ole Miss. At this point, Dowdell says he remains committed to the Ducks and feels very much wanted by Dan Lanning and the staff. He has not had a chance to speak with Will Stein as of yet but has been keeping in contact with Lanning about the future. He's a midyear enrollee, so he will be signing in a couple weeks.
"He really wants me to come there. I asked him what his team needs to win a national championship and he said 'you' so it feels good to know that I'm needed."
