So, my oldest son was in town and we had planned a two day trip to Canon Beach in the RV.
The ice storm almost waylayed the trip, but on Saturday morning it became clear we were likely going to be okay. It was still pretty icy at our house in North Bethany, but everything else looked good.
Then as I was taking our new puppy for a walk, having gone Thursday night and all day Friday with caution not having any issues, a step I took just as cautiously failed and I fell hitting my upper back directly across the lip of our front porch. It was freaky at forst and I was worried about potential injuries.
It seemed to just be having the wind knocked out of me.
We got to the RV, and an Oregon State fan had vandalized the back of the RV with "OSU" spray painted all over the back end. I had hoped it might have been non paint or something easily removed. It was not. We keep it in a storage facility, so had hoped it would be okay.
Then, at the beach yesterday, my son and I took the puppy out to chase the tides. Done it a million times, we had watched the tide for 10 minutes coming in and out and had a pretty good feeling for where it was going... then the one we had the puppy chase came in much further and she got soaked... everything was cool, but I had to hold her the mile back to the RV inside my coat as she was shivering.
Today, I was walking with her again at home and she went down a small knoll in my front yard. You guessed it, the rain had made it slick enough that I fell -- again. This time only on my butt.
