DSA Inside Reed: 3/30/20

The benefit of working from home? No one over my shoulders during the day! While there are no visits taking place, no practices, etc., that does not mean that there is zero recruiting information, it is just less than normal. Despite that slowness, some news continues. Today I have thoughts on the new OL offer, plus some thoughts on a couple other prospects:

Will the 2020 college football season be saved?

Governors issuing stay at home orders, schools closed, all but essential services curtailed.

I'm not suggesting we rehash the politics of the Covid-19 virus, but I AM wondering when or if life will return to normal, and what normal might look like by August.

Will the closures, bans and extreme measures save the college football season? I really want to know.

Putting this out for discussion. I know we have some doctors and very informed people here.

Some might say, why are you even thinking about Duck football at a time like this? To them I say, because, it's Duck football.

OT: Occupying empty time

So, let's get away from sports briefly, with nothing much to do, how is everyone here spending all their free time?

I will start.

One: School. Because my MBA classes are all online, they have not stopped. Even last week while I was on vacation (anniversary trip to Myrtle Beach), I had homework.

Two:
Reading. I finished up the book 'Good Economics for Hard Times' as well as the book 'Conscience: The Origins of Moral intuition' while on vacation. I just started 'Keeping at It' (Paul Volcker autobiography; finished with Alan Greenspan's book earlier this year). Will also be reading 'Educated' by Tara Westover probably start that this week as well.

Three:
I don't watch much non-sports television, but the show 'Living With Yourself' has been a pleasant surprise.
