Farrell's Take: FICTION. I know the Ducks are pursuing the former Oregon coach and trying to poach him away from UCLA but I’d be surprised if Chip Kelly left Los Angeles. It has to be tempting and he could be great in Oregon again, but he’s put a lot of work into UCLA and honestly has a better chance of success in this day and age there with the recruiting and NIL advantage. It would be a home run hire for Oregon but there are so many things working against the Ducks here that it would be a surprise to me.

Good coaches always land quickly when let go...Manny Diaz to Penn State within days! He actually had done a very good job this year at Miami...both in recruiting and bringing his talented young QB & team along. How the University treated him was unbelievably unprofessional & classless!

He said during his introductory press conference in Akron that he will coach the Oregon bowl game because it's the right thing to do for the players. He is correct.

Ok somebody help me discern this information. McClendon has agreed to be the interim coach yet Mario has offered him a position on the Miami staff. Does Oregon even have a shot at retaining this guy.
Perhaps he can't or won't take the Miami offer until after the bowl game? Thoughts?
