Since I'm laid up, I finally tortured myself with the Alamo Bowl. A few stats. Heggarty- snaps on time/ on target 21/21
Brenner with Adams- 15/20
Brenner with Lockie- 7/11 first half
9/18 second half. 6/13 OT
Brenner snappd EVERY SINGLE 3rd down snap low. Every single one.
Now it's erased from the DVR, and the spring season is upon us. Very impatient for football, but even more so for summer.
Voting done before tourney, which seems crazy. Heild should be POY and Altman went as far as Self, with much lower pre-season expectations. One could also argue Boeheim of Syracuse got the most mileage from his talent
I'd love to see his name hang from the gym, maybe not his number retired, but the Matt should recognize COOK!
Anyone else agree? Some sort of long term recognition is due to Cook, if you followed him the last 3 years..At least at the concessions!
Saw the headline at "brand x" but does anyone know who the player is? Don't post the article, obviously, but maybe just the name. Another SG would be great if Dorsey leaves this year or even next.
The Ducks will kick off the 2016 campaign tomorrow with practice ending around 11am. This year, except for this first week, spring practices will be M, W and F.
The Spring Game will take place on Saturday (April 30) at 11 a.m. in Autzen Stadium.
I am really looking forward to getting back into football coverage and of course will be bringing you interviews and updates after all 15 of the spring sessions. Right now I'm working on a couple articles to help get you prepped for Spring camp.
It's good to be back from LA with more than a month before I have to fly anywhere again.
About 40 minutes from the tip here at the Honda Center so here goes the game thread. Both teams are on the court warming up. The Ducks came out about 15 minutes before the Sooners.
Maybe based on NBA potential, but he sure didn't impress me that much. This is USA Today, and I think he made CBS's too. Not sure I would have traded him for Brooks or Cook.
“I feel comfortable, but it’s fast,” Prukop said. “They’re at a whole ‘nother speed. It’s like hyper speed – and we’re not even in pads yet, so we’re probably going in slow motion for everyone else.”
Perhaps, but I want to congratulate the OSU women's BB team. I know that any praise of OSU is verboten here, but these girls are Oregonians and are playing with a lot of skill, determination and grit. Their effort and success should be a source of pride for all Oregonians.
a short look at one of the kids who dream of just making the squad. JJ Johnson will now be in his 3rd year at UO and will be trying out (again) for the team. These are the kids that just want a shot, and put work in year round with some of the players in hopes of wearing the Duck colors.
JJ is a kid that came all the way from Massachusetts to Oregon, to try and make the Ducks team, here is his Junior year HS highlight:
Good decisions, imho, and it would be for Dorsey too. Brooks could be an All Am if he keeps improving, and who knows, maybe he will get another shot at Dook, lol. Dorsey just needs more time and muscle to play in the NBA, regardless of how good a shooter he is.
Dwayne Benjamin was a highly recruited receiver out of Louisiana. Is it true he's considering a year of football? If not at Oregon, he may receive interest from LSU, who was one of the schools recruiting him out of high school.
A GREAT RUN FOR MEN'S DUCK BASKETBALL. FOR THE SENIORS, AND ESPECIALLY ELGIN,
AND DWAYNE, YOU WILL BE MISSED BUT NOT FORGOTTEN. TO THE BALANCE OF THE TEAM, THANKS FOR YOUR EFFORT, AND WE WILL LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT SEASON.. GO DUCKS!! PMM
