California tight end Vander Ploog visited Oregon for Tuesday's practice. He's among the most impressive looking prospects I've seen this spring and his recruitment has hit a new level in recent months. He's got official visits set with Washington, Utah, Arizona State and Cal right now but it's good that the Ducks were able to get him out on a visit.

Jabbar Muhammad had improvement on his mind when he joined the Ducks


“It’s going to make me better."

Jabbar Muhammad could have played at a number of other schools and maybe had an easier time in practice and a clear path to the top at his position. But, the transfer from Washington wants to end his career a better player, and he felt that Oregon was the right place to accomplish that goal working under Dan Lanning surrounded by several other top players. It was the driving force of his decision to leave his school for its rival.

One of 12 transfers to UO this offseason, Alexander had 34 tackles (two for loss), including one sack, two interceptions and 15 pass breakups last season. His 80.7 grade from PFF ranks fifth among transfer cornerbacks.
