Transfer Elijah Brown gets recruiting visit in Albuquerque from Oregon coaches

Altman' been visiting Albuquerque!

The 6-foot-4 shooting guard who averaged 18.8 points this past season and 21.7 points in the 2015-16 season as a sophomore, has been granted his release from scholarship at UNM to transfer to another school. He plans to graduate in May and would be allowed by the NCAA as a graduate transfer to play next season at a Division I program without having to sit out, as he did at UNM in the 2014-15 season after transferring from Butler University.

TRAAAAACK

This is a strange happening..The country's top high school 200m runner, Lauren Rain Williams, signed a NLI with USC last fall. According to former UO star Jasmin Todd's mother, Lauren just committed to Oregon. I went on her Twitter page and sure enough Lauren has indeed switched to Oregon.

This is great, and very strange. There must be a story here. Lauren got injured a couple of weeks back. Did USC let her go under some kind of injury release clause? Did Lauren fail to qualify for admission to USC?

We'll get to the bottom of this. AJ, here's your interview.

Lauren is, or was, the top ranked all around girl's high school sprinter in the US. Oregon put on an all out blitz to recruit Lauren, but wound up finishing a close second to the home town Trojans. What effect will this have on Jasmin Reed? Could this explain her visit to Kentucky? I think that we'll find out soon.

The Duck women's basketball team has added another international star.

Anneli Maley, Australia's best young player, joins two other international stars, German Sebou Sabally, who is often called the top international recruit in this class, and Spaniard Aina Ayusa who is generally viewed as a top 10 international recruit, as a part of the Duck women's class. They probably aren't quite done yet, but check out this rebounding maniac of a guard.

Possible Big time reclassification

According to DT the big time commitment that Matt Prehm has been hinting at is actually a reclassification from 2018 to 2017; Simisola Shittu 6"8"(said to have measured 6'9" this year) PF 5 star. Oregon is said to be in the drivers seat for him and we will know in 2-3 weeks. Oregon has been recruiting him for months. Everybody on their forum is very positive ans say that he will be coming to Oregon. He is described as a monster similar to Bell only he will be a freshman. He is from Canada so the Canadian connection is strong.
