Camp notes...

I went to the Oregon football camp yesterday but only ended up staying for about 30 minutes. On the practice fields they had an area roped off in the corner for media and I was the only one there. But it was so far away from the action I couldn't ID anybody. The concern is that NCAA compliance-wise media is not allowed to have any interaction with prospects or their parents while on campus.

But there was good competition including local guys Marist QB/DB Reow Jackson who competed at DB yesterday and Churchill DB Myles Green-Richards. Punahou QB Stephen Barber, RB Sean Dollars.

Quite a few recruits were there as observers but were a football field away from my vantage point. This weekend in addition to the guys above the Ducks hosted:

Zach Bowers
Isaah Crocker
Kalon Gervin
Verone McKinley III
Sol-Jay Malava
JJ Peterson
Adam Plant
Tyler Markray

Earlier this week Justus Legg visited with his grandparents.

Sean Dollars...

The Dollars are back home after their trip to Eugene. Mom, dad and Sean all loved it. I don't think we are quite in Quack Watch mode with him but he did say that committing did cross his mind when he was sitting in Coach Taggarts' office for a one-on-one. He said he thought coach T was expecting him to commit.

But he said he did not want to make an emotional decision.

At the same time, the Ducks are definitely No. 1 with him right now.

What a great pull he would be for the Class of 2019.

Big huge Oregon camp next month...

I'm hearing that Oregon will be hosting many of their top prospects for an event on July 29th called Saturday Night Live Camp.

Big reason to mark your calendars? I hear that the camp will be open to fans. Basically an opportunity to see some of the Ducks' top targets square off against each other.

Camp will be in the evening and after the session there will be a big recruit party.

Energy is just at a crazy level at the HDC right now.
