Former Duck walk-on TE, Eric Brosterhous, passed away

Sad news that former Duck walk-on TE (2003-2005), Eric Brosterhous, passed away from cancer yesterday. He was only 33 years old. The former Mazama HS (Klamath Falls) athlete didn't see the field much, but he was a diehard Duck who got to live out his dream by walking on for a few years.

I was not a close friend, but did get to know him a little bit when he played on my softball team about 7 years ago. He was a good dude. My condolences to his wife and family.

Hanson makes Rimington Watch List...

The Rimington Trophy Committee has released its 2018 Spring Watch List, which includes the following centers in Division I football. In order to create this list, the committee accepted nominations from programs across the country that submitted their current starting centers for consideration. This preseason, centers were nominated from every conference, with 57 total nominees and 27 past watch listers. The Pac-12 leads the list with 10 nominations followed by the ACC with eight.

The Ducks will contend if...

Las Vegas odds makers and various websites have placed the over/under for Oregon's season at 7.5 wins.

The over seems like easy money, but that's the trap of gambling, isn't it?

The three nonconference games are virtual locks, and OSewe doesn't have the depth to be playing competitive football by November.

But in between, there's a lot that could go either way. Showdowns in a very tough PAC-12 North. A league interspersed with new coaches. Star players scattered throughout the league with the potential to go off on anyone.

How optimistic are you with 100 days to go until Duck football? What has to happen for Oregon to reach for 9/10/11 wins in Mario Cristobal's first year?

2019 PG Cole Anthony

I bet everyone would be satisfied with this 5* PG. Saw him mentioned on the home page "Hampton EYBL" article--some early Oregon interest. Maybe they don't get someone of this caliber til' Pritchard is gone in the 2020 class, but it looks like he's got Oregon on his early radar...

Who's tops on your big board?

What's the most glaring need for the Ducks in the rest of the 2019 recruiting class? And who are the two or three players they most need to close with? And if you were Uncle Phil or his hypothetical equal, who is the biggest "reach" you'd like to flip for UO? Kayvon Thibodeaux? Chris Steele?

Does it bother you that Oregon is no longer a factor for Michael Johnson Jr.? Was it too soon to give up on such a talented prospect, or it just a realistic assessment of the recruiting numbers game?

99 days until Duck football and in-season official visits.
