Oregon Spring Game Details
EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon football will wrap up its second spring under head coach Mario Cristobal and for the 10th consecutive year will recognize the nation’s armed services during its annual Spring Game presented by Bi-Mart on Saturday in Autzen Stadium starting at 2 p.m.
“This is a really big deal,” Cristobal said. “Our spring game in Autzen is a huge deal, and we want to make sure that place is rocking. It’s another opportunity to show what we are. We want to make sure our playmakers are on the field and putting on a great show for our fans. We want the entire country to see what our stadium is like on game day.”
The Ducks return plenty of playmakers on both sides of the ball, highlighted by quarterback Justin Herbert and linebacker Troy Dye, both of whom turned down the NFL to return for their senior seasons. In all, Oregon returns 17 starters and 51 letterwinners off a team that went 9-4 and finished the year with three consecutive wins, culminating with a victory over Michigan State in the Redbox Bowl.
The annual Spring Game will also display the depth Coach Cristobal and his staff have worked to establish, as the roster will be split into two teams instead of the offense vs. defense format from a year ago. Rosters for the “Mighty Oregon” squad and the “Fighting Ducks” team will be unveiled soon.
