It seems to me to be stupid to make FB players sit out a year if they transfer but most other sports you don't have to.
If you had to sit out a year, it may well keep teams from being decimated like the Ladies Softball Team was this year.
Apparently, other people agree.
Here is an article where Big Ten Commish Bob Bowlsby says that everybody should have to sit out.
In fact, he says, "it was a colossal mistake for the NCAA to set different guidelines for different sports."
I so totally agree.
