Yep...C.J Stroud, who was the MVP at the most recent Elite 11 gathering.

With Butterfield already on the hook, if Stroud commits that would give the Ducks four QBs to start next season: Shough, Millen, Butterfield and Stroud. That's a lot of youth -- one sophomore and three frosh.

Here's hoping Shough gets lots of PT early in the season. Heck, let's start him in the Portland State game...

Sounds like a few off field probs. at U of Ill., where he excelled Then a transfer to JC, and was flashing brilliance at SNL. Sounds like he's a lean iif he clears. Doesn't say what the problems were.

I think it looks like it will be between Michigan and Oregon for this receiver who used to catch passes from Tyler Shough in Arizona. Oh, and his father knows a thing or two about catching passes: Jerry Rice.

So....247 has a thread started by Marty from the ole' eDuck and word is he (Neal) has been hired or is close to being hired as a consultant. Any word on the street mods? Great defensive mind and if everybody is on board with the hire would be a nice compliment....thoughts????

By the way where oh where has DF4L gone?????? Guess we may have to wait til' the season starts for his critiquing of the games.....

The Ducks played mostly two guys last year, Verdell and Dye. This year they are deeper. Here is my report.

UPDATE: Miami-based DB Henry Gray says Florida, Michigan and Oregon are the official offers he holds in highest regard.

I see Aumavae has been sidelined for a couple of days and coupled with some injuries from last year I am really hopeful he can heal up and provide some quality minutes with Sione Kava at the nose. Aumavae has a really good upside just needed to see him get stronger and play a little lower this year. He has the size to be a good compliment to Scott. Scott is gonna need some downs off against Auburn for sure. I know Baker can play there too.

It is very early in fall camp and in the careers of the Class of 2019. But after some of them were here for spring and with eight fall sessions including a scrimmage under their belts, here are the newcomers Coach Cristobal mentioned as having stood out.

"I thought they did a great job. I know I mentioned his name already but DJ James, the guy is playing some really good football. Mykael Wright is playing some really good football.

"A guy I have got to mention too is Kahlef (Hailassie). I know he hasn’t been mentioned a bunch, but that guy is bringing it.

"Mase Funa is a guy that needs to be mentioned

"Keyon is really playing good football.

"So is Kristian (Williams), Brandon (Dorlus), we mentioned Kayvon (KT).

"Jonah (Tuanu'u). Jonah is a really, really talented guy. I wish he didn’t miss those weeks of summer because he has a lot to catch up on but he’s catching up fast.

"Sean (Dollars), Patrick Herbert.

"These guys are going to help. They are going to do a really good job. And Delgado. I want to give him some props because that guy, his ankle, he really twisted it pretty good early. He very easily could have milked that thing the whole week. But that guy was out there, whether he had a limp, had to hop on one leg, he fought through and found a way to get it done.
