Coach Avalos and Experience Playing Against WSU Air-Raid Offense

Coach A. Avalos has had plenty of experience playing against WSU and the Air-Raid Offense.
I am confident that he and his excellent staff will bring a worthy and effective scheme.

That said, I think now is the time for K.T., B.Y.. L.W. and D.J. Johnson to have career days! The Duck back end will do their part, they just need a wee bit of help from their friends. GO DUCK! Pick the Cougars Pocket. PMM

Fifth Quarter: Washington

It is done. As a general thought, I felt like the defense was not as aggressive yesterday as they had been in prior weeks; but they made some nice adjustments in the second half that held Washington to 100 yards on 24 plays over the course of four consecutive possessions.

Offensively, the game plan was really good, adjustments even better (though very slight) and that the coaching was really, really good by Mario Cristobal.

Fifth Quarter: Washington

Gotta give Husky offense some credit

I watched the whole game again yesterday and it was no accident that they made the Duck defense look bad at time. I was surprised they were this good. They would not have lost to Cal or Stanford on Saturday

1) The best offensive line in the Pac 12 besides Oregon's

2) Solid running backs with great vision who consistently saw and took advantage of cut back opportunities

3) well coached, physical, and disciplined. They really stay on their blocks

At times this year it looked like the Ducks were playing with 12 or 13 defenders. Against Washington it looked like they were playing with 9 or 10. They got outflanked a lot on the out side and gave up the cutbacks going inside

In the end the defense stepped up and got it done. The huskies played their best game by far and it still wasn't enough. Duck offensive line took over the game as the Huskies wore down.
