Fishing the Game

So...I'm fly fishing the Big Horn River in Montana.

Yesterday I had not even had a hook up all day.

At this one spot my buddy yelled out to me that we had won the game.

Breaking all etiquette, I yelled out a primal, blood curdling scream of "YEEEESS!!"

At that very instant a 19" fat boy rainbow took my fly and took off down the river like Vardell.

After I landed that hot fish....I had one of the best fishing afternoons my life.

Coincidence? I think not!!! Just Duck Luck!!

Help needed from DSA friends

Could someone please text or tweet Gus Johnson and tell him how to correctly pronounce Mario’s name??? I was so sick of Merry-O I wanted to scream. And then my other favorite was his opening to the game: ‘ a great matchup between THE WORLD FAMOUS OHIO STATE UNIVERISTY (yes he was practically yelling that) and the University of Oregon. I am afraid if I tweet him it might contain some NSFW words.🤯🤯🤯🤯

Cristobal will not be conservative tomorrow

For those that think the Ducks are a ground and pound operation under MC, tomorrow will be a surprise. I expect the Ducks to come out throwing the ball all over the place.5-6 deep shots in the first half alone. If Brown gets protection, it will be very effective. First play will be a pass. I'm gonna say 18-20 of first 30 plays will be a pass

Oregon vs. Ohio State: Official prediction thread

Here we go for a big week of predictions. I am going to get it started off but I very much want to be wrong about it.

I think the Ducks did not look good enough to win at Ohio State last Saturday. That is not to say they are not much better than they showed. But I think the Ducks got a little dinged up the last couple weeks and that does not help. So much firepower on both sides of the ball for tOSU. Then the Ducks have that huge crowd to deal with.

Oregon 32 - Ohio State 42

This is what SEC teams look like in the trenches

This was a game for those who questioned MC's philosophy. Ducks have had some great teams under Bellotti and Chip, but none of those teams could have gone into the Horseshoe, and won both lines of scrimmage. Oregon was the more physical team and it happened without some of their best defensive players. This was the biggest regular season non- conference, game, in my 50 some years of watching. The Ducks proved they can now play with anyone on the line of scrimmage. As MC said after the game, "its just the beginning". Congrats to the Ducks!! Shout to Brown especailly. He handled the pressure of this road game very, very well

DSA heading to Columbus...

What a whirlwind trip this is going to be for me. Direct flight Eugene to Columbus leaving 4pm today, arriving 1150pm their time. Meeting Tom Corno at the airport and heading to our hotel.

Game Saturday, noon their time.

Direct flight home to Eugene 9am Sunday morning. 33 hours in Columbus to see the historic Duck win.

The most fun part will be after the game, I'll post the interviews photos and post game stories, then head back to the hotel. Should get there around 6pm, plenty of time left to hit a sports pub or two to celebrate with Duck fans.

I'll post anything relevant from the trip on this thread.
