Malachi Riley is a high three-star receiver from California with a lengthy offer list. He visited Oregon within the last couple weeks for the first time and was definitely impressed by what he saw. The visit came as part of a weekend swing through the area that took him from Eugene to Oregon State and Washington. Riley has known Oregon receivers coach Junior Adams for a long time, so there is a built-in relationship for the Ducks, and that pushed Riley to make the trip. The Ducks definitely left an impression on him, but he is not in a big rush to make a decision right now.

UCLA has gained a good amount of buzz with him and he made visits to Arizona on back-to-back weekends in January. He says he wants to visit Texas, Baylor and Utah soon as well.

“Oregon is Oregon, man, it’s crazy. Literally, Oregon is Oregon. What can I say? I can’t even, it’s crazy. Washington also has a nice campus, but Oregon, of course, is probably the best I’ve seen so far.”

First off, I hope everyone here is doing well. Wanted to first introduce myself, my name is Eric Lammers and I am one of the new National Analyst for Rivals. While I will be focused mainly on prospects in Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky, there still could be plenty of crossover with the star power Coach Lanning has on this side of the country with prospects.

I recently caught up with 2024 edge prospect, Kavion Henderson out of Leeds HS (Ala.), and he is definitely high on Coach Lanning. Long ways to go in this recruitment of course, but having Coach Lanning leading the charge is a great start for the No. 18 prospect nationally in the 2024 class.

Anyone else hitting refresh on this page like once every 10 minutes hoping for new from the past weekend? I know I am!

It's hard to piece together as only a portion of "The Athletic" article is public, ie, free. The prevailing rumor/theory is that it's Nico to Tenn. If anyone gets "The Athletic" maybe they can shed some light on this. IF true, what a mess.

On the third leg of the women’s 4x400,
Katrina Wright took a hard fall on the track. She got up and the Ducks finished the relay, but they were out of contention. I just hate to see this. The baton exchange between Oregon’s Shaniya Hall and Katrina Wright was not smooth. I don’t know if that contributed to Wright losing her footing, they didn’t show a replay.

I attended the RCS LA camp where Eugene Brooks won OL MVP. He mentions Oregon among his early favorites.

Great race! This is a great surprise this indoor season. Not bad for a redshirt freshman. Can’t wait to see her keep developing.

Slow start for both, but Oregon turning it on. Under 5 in the half, Ducks up 32-20

The men took 6th place in the team final standings behind some spirited and hard fought performances. Had US Olympian ,Micah Williams, not been DQed in the 60m, I believe that he would have finished no lower than 2nd and likely would have won the event. Either way, the Ducks would have made the podium and finished 3rd in the team score.

Congratulations are due to another successful chapter in our storied track team's history.

Scott mentioned some in his Wednesday War Room, but more are coming. We'll keep track of them here:

Oh No!
Micah Williams was DQed for a false start in 60m prelim.

Apparently there was a loud crack in the stands that caused Micah and others to jump. They only DQed Micah. This stinks.

This is devasting in that Micah was likely to finish first or second…scratch 10 possible points and this pretty much takes the team out of reach to make the podium. It also will hurt Micah’s chances of winning the Bowerman Trophy.

This is especially disappointing because the rest of the team had a great day. Now we just have to cheer for good individual performances. The men’s team will not be in the running for a top finish.
