Further, TOSU now has, at QB, the #6 QB from 2001...the #6 QB in the 2022 class...and the #1 ranked overall player who happens to be a QB from the 2024 class.

I wonder how the ex-Husky (#13 QB in 2023) thinks he fits in?

To recap, the Buckeyes now have, over several classes, the #6, the #6, the #1, and the #13 ranked QBs in the nation. Two 5* and two 4*.

No wonder they couldn't afford Moore if that's true!!

That is quite the QB room, and, I expect, a target-rich environment for QB transfers starting as early as next year.

Projected range: Late Day 2/early Day 3
After transferring from Auburn, Nix experienced a career resurgence in Eugene. He recorded career-highs this season in passing yards (3,389), touchdown throws (27) and completion percentage (71.5%). Nix displayed much-improved accuracy, a quick release and better reactions to defensive structures.
Nix plays from a strong base, and the ball comes out of his hand with plenty of velocity behind it. He can get himself out of harm's way when things break down, too, and he rushed for 504 yards and 14 touchdowns this season.

Bo Nix keeps it himself for Oregon TD​

Oregon caps a 10-play drive with a touchdown as Bo Nix finds pay dirt from 10 yards out.
Potential team fit: Arizona Cardinals. Nix fits with an up-tempo offense that gets his arm in rhythm. Kyler Murray is the franchise QB, but Nix could work in Arizona as a late-round option to develop.

Sounds like a pretty good team. 6/3 with guard who shoots 60% from 3 pt stripe. This is good, as the Ducks suddenly appear capable of beating good teams. They can't afford many more losses.

Oregon doing in home with him tonight. Oklahoma Friday night. Right now, Oklahoma is more likely.

But here's the catch. Ducks are trying to get a trip from him after Oklahoma in home.

Another long shot is becoming less so. If Ducks get him to Eugene this weekend, all bets are off.

Watching the national news tonight I saw that California is largely buried from a massive snow storm. I hope everyone on the board is out of harms way.

If you are in one of the buried areas, stay home if you can. The Sierras are non traversable. I heard that Sacramento was hit ( pretty low elevation to be snowing) .
The heavy snow storm extended into the mountains of southern California. Power is out in many areas.

UO has also seen record-high numbers of student applications, with a big increase in applications from non-Oregon residents. Out of 37,095 applicants for the 2022 fall term, 29,131 were from out of state, and 1,157 were international students.

As both Scott and Adam wrote about today, the feeling is that Oregon has done enough to secure a signature from four-star RB Dante Dowdell next week. But, in recruiting nothing is ever a sure thing, so the staff made sure to make a strong impression by having an in-home visit with the star running back tonight. Dan Lanning, Carlos Locklyn and Will Stein all made the trek out to Mississippi to meet with Dowdell and his family. As you can tell from the tweet they were able to bring in Dante Moore on a FaceTime call, which seems like an all-around good thing for both Moore's future and Dowdell's future with the Ducks.

Flowe was expected....not sure Moliki was.......hit to the T.E. room!

The Ducks' coaches have been busy this week criss-crossing the country meeting up with prospects ahead of this weekend's round of trips. Most programs are building up to a big weekend next weekend just before the start of the early signing period, but Oregon has another strong group of visitors highlighted by some of important commits including Rivals100 cornerback Caleb Presley.

Here's a look at the group with a little breakdown of each situation.

If you haven't seen it yet, make sure to check out Scott's writeup on each of the visitors. He did a very good job summarizing the situations with all the recruits on campus this weekend.


One other note, behind the scenes it sounds like Oregon is becoming one of the top schools for Arizona transfer receiver. Early on it sounded like USC was going to be a factor for him but as the week has played out the Ducks have started to gain some serious momentum. He led the Pac-12 in receiving yards this season and has had quite the journey from a walk-on player for the worst team in the conference to a top receiving threat in the league.
