The lady Ducks just finished up and beat Charleston 97-33. The injuries to the bigs may be too tough to overcome but these girls can play! 15-30 from 3 today!!

As of this morning, Moore has not made it to Eugene and that seems very unlikely at the moment.

Word from multiple different people is that there is a strong belief that Moore to UCLA is a done deal. I have seen some out there imply this was a $10million NIL deal. That is hogwash. My understanding is that the NIL packages were similar.

I believe this is about a clear(er) path to starting (UCLA has Garbers and Justyn Martin) as well as the reported "promise" by Chip to not recruit a portal QB this cycle.

That seems very UnChip like, but plausible given the circumstances of his QB depth chart and his future.

The thing is, all of this is coming from "people close to" Moore and not Moore himself. Officially he has not decommitted and Bo Nix has said he is "still deciding" about next year.

For those that think this staff was just sitting around with their head buried in the ground that is not true. What I will say is that it is a sign of Lanning's approach that he (apparently) would not make such guarantees about portal recruiting. They made it clear Moore was their guy, but that they would manage the roster in the best way to get this team to the playoffs.

This all seems odd because Moore never seemed like the type to avoid a depth chart, and that is probably not the best description, but I think that Oregon was not willing to concede as clear a path to starting as UCLA.

The difficult part here is that this is not necessarily a guarantee that Nix is coming back. Everything I have heard says he is and that the Ducks will look to other options if Moore decommits, but be prepared.

David Hicks: I have never been as optimistic as others he would flip to Oregon and I still think that is not going to happen. Word is Texas A&M has definitely staved off the Oregon challenge and may have even stayed off Oklahoma now as well. Either way, I don't think Oregon lands Hicks.

Kadyn Proctor: He is in Alabama again this weekend. I don't think this eliminates Oregon, but it is not ideal as the Tide get the chance to I press him one more time and Oregon can only call and try to get him on board that way.

His mom loves Oregon, so we will see.

What's up, everybody!

As we know, Notre Dame went in-home with five-star safety Peyton Bowen on Thursday night, and the latest coming out of the visit still has me expecting a flip in this recruitment away from the Irish. However, I see Oregon as a bigger threat to Oklahoma to sign Bowen next Wednesday than Notre Dame.

The Ducks are coming on strong in these final days, and it could manifest into an official visit this weekend. If that visit happens, that could begin to spell trouble for Oklahoma who would have its in-home visit with Brent Venables, which is currently planned for Saturday afternoon, thwarted away and prevented from happening at all with the visit period wrapping up this weekend. Alongside that, Oregon would have the final impression before Dec. 21.

That's the battle happening today between both schools, and Bowen's decision on what he ends up doing in these next 48 hours could lay the foundation for our expectations going into next week. As I have it right now, I still like Oklahoma here but the gap is very quickly closing. We should have more today as we learn more.

So, I have heard enough to go ahead and feel confident to say that 5-star Oregon quarterback Dante Moore will be making the trek out to UCLA this weekend for an official visit. The Bruins have quietly been making a late push for the Detroit native. Obviously, the Bruins move to the Big Ten will get him closer to home a few times a year for games. That doesn't seem to be THE driving force behind the visit, but it also doesn't hurt. Even with the expected trip out to Los Angeles, there is not a lot of concern right now that he will end up flipping his decision. Could an amazing visit to LA change that feeling? Sure. However, right now there is not a strong feeling that he could land somewhere other than Oregon.

New Ducks OC Will Stein made it out to see Moore today in Michigan after Dan Lanning's previous trip to Detroit earlier in the week. It sounds like things went well and that relationship can now begin to move forward after the meeting.

For now, though, the visit out to UCLA is one that will be used to check things out and make absolutely sure he's ready to sign with the Ducks.

Hudson Card is on a tour of visits and had stopped by Corvallis to check out Oregon State.

Given the reality that his High School coach was a few miles down the road, he also went by Eugene.

What I was told was that this was a chance to see his old coach, catch up, talk football etc. I don't think Card wants to come sit behind Bo Nix in 2023 (but that possibility would exist IF Moore decommits), and this was mostly a chance to chat.

To be clear, Ducks prefer to keep Dante Moore over Card and would likely hit up Novosad first should Moore decommit. The word is out about the Card visit so thought I would address it.

Newly-minted 4-star receiver Trech Kekahuna is announcing his decision tomorrow afternoon at halftime of Bishop Gorman's game with Chaminade-Madonna as part of the GEICO State Champions Bowl. I spoke with Kekahuna earlier in the week and he wasn't sure when he would be deciding because he wanted his family to be with him when he made his choice. However, he has gone ahead and decided to make that move now, and officially he has a list of four programs including Oregon, Arizona, Arizona State and Wisconsin. He previously told me Oregon, Arizona and Wisconsin are the top three schools in his recruitment so ASU is not a threat at this stage.

He's visited both Oregon and Arizona over the last two weekends with the Ducks getting his last visit last weekend. Oregon has been the favorite to land Kekahuna since offering. He backed off his commitment to Wisconsin shortly after that happened, and he has gone on record that is his childhood dream school.

However, something that could end up swinging this one in another direction is the staff shakeup with Kenny Dillingham moving to ASU. Kekahuna has had a chance to speak with Will Stein and spent some time with him on the visit. He is also looking strongly at the quarterback position at each school, and Arizona has a bit of an ace up its sleeve since its starting quarterback, Jayden de Laura, is a longtime family friend and former high school teammate of Kekahuna's back when they were in Honolulu together at St. Louis High School.

That relationship sounds like it holds some significant weight to him. Arizona has started to gain some traction here late in the process and is beginning to pick up steam as the school he will pick come Saturday afternoon.

Worth a try. Apparently UO recently visited him and should be a player. Recall that Day recently told boosters he needs "at least $13m to keep the team he has."

I've talked to some sources about Kadyn Proctor's visit to Oregon this past weekend and by all accounts it went very well for him and his mother who also joined him in Eugene.

The feeling is that Proctor is not going to rush any final decision - stick with Iowa or flip quickly to Oregon - but the feeling is that the Ducks definitely made up a lot of ground and should now be considered a serious contender for him. This was not just a free trip as Oregon has put itself in a good spot to flip the five-star.
