College Football’s Most Hated Team

and the winner is Mario.

Where I am from USC is a four letter word. In reality it was probably more due to their success… and the general regional prejudices that Northern Californians harbor towards Los Angeles. However, I’ve been told that USC is generally not popular in Los Angeles. I guess that UCLA has something to do with that.

CHRISTIAN GONZALEZ

Is showing out at the NFL Combine.

"Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon, 6-foot-1 1/2, 197
4.38 (40) 41.4 inch (vertical jump) 11-foot-1 (broad jump)

One of the big winners on Friday, he came in with top-10 expectations and he met those. Everything looked easy. Power steps, quick feet, fluid movement, explosion out of breaks, was powerful in his movements, high pointed the ball and showed natural hands. Gonzalez looked sharp regardless of the drill."

Mel Kiper has CG as his #1 Cornerback and the number 6th pick of the Draft.

"Measuring 6-1 3/8, 197 pounds, Gonzalez confirmed his plus athleticism with a 4.38 40, a 41 1/2-inch vertical and 11-foot-1 broad jump. His length is average (32-inch arms), but his smooth movement during position drills separated him from the pack. Gonzalez snatched passes from the air, backpedaled efficiently and went through every drill without an issue. Aside from one stumble in transition and one early drop, everything just seemed easy for one of the top cornerbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft. "

WBB loses to Stanford in Rd. 2 of Pac-12 tourney!

76-65! Paopao was great with 28 points, including 7-10 from three! Unfortunately Rogers was 6-26 and Gray was 3-13. We shot 29.4% from the floor and were out rebounded 56-39....recipe's for disaster!
Stanford is bigger, deeper and more talented, the best team won. Now we wait to see if the ladies make the NCAA tourney, their record say's NO but their net ranking is top 20 so we'll see.

Ducks Going to Indoor Nationals

The men are disappointenly few. Most notably, Micah Williams is not listed. This will have a bad effect on his likelihood of winning the Bowerman.

The women are few but formidable. They currently rank 4th in the nation. Hickey, Van Klinken, Ross, Lexie Ellis, the DMR team, Mays, McCormack,Kazimierska, and Thornton/ Bott are all great competitors.

I must mention that the lone Oregon man, Elliot Cook, is having a great season and will represent the best that he can.

Good Luck Ducks!

If (when?) the Pac 12 dies where do want the Ducks to call home?

So things are not looking good for the Pac 12 and there seems to be a very real chance that it doesn’t reach a new media rights deal and thus dies. If that happens, I am curious where they hope Oregon will land—and why. You can certainly give pie-in-the-sky answers, like the SEC or ACC, but the realistic answer seem to be Big 10 and Big 12. So if you go with the former far fetched options, comment on the realistic ones as well. Curious to hear people’s thoughts.
