Caleb Williams

Doing my morning walk, talking Ducks, one of my friends brought up that Caleb Williams was once a Duck commit. I told him he was wrong, but wanted to ask the local experts if I was correct. Yes, there is a small wager involved, lol. So, am I correct? Or not….
thanks!

Yelm, Washington four-star linebacker Brayden Platt had options all over the country, but Oregon remained a favorite for most of the process. Ultimately, he narrowed his options down the Ducks and Oklahoma. Just moments ago, the No. 4-ranked recruit in Washington announced his pledge to Dan Lanning's program.

Oregon now has three four-star linebackers committed highlighted by Rivals100 prospect Dylan Williams. Kamar Mothudi rounds out that group of four-star commits.

The Ducks now hold commitments from two of the top four recruits from Washington and have a chance at landing a third as they are still in the mix with Seattle running back Jason Brown.

Another impressive get for Lanning and his staff. Platt is a big body at 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds and should be a nice fit for the move to the Big Ten.

Stadium Trivia

What are the 3 largest football stadiums in the country?

Answer:

#1 Michigan
#2 Penn State
#3 Ohio State

All three are in the BIG.
This is a reflection of the enormity of these schools fan bases.

I did some research and discovered that in about 3 years the Eugene Airport will break ground on a significant expansion. The cost of this expansion will be around $300,000,000. Another concourse will be added. The baggage areas will be enlarged, as will be the ticket areas. Needless to say, there will be more flights arriving and departing.

Autzen will be enlarged. I imagine we will see more hotel rooms. Look for some great fun as fans from universities like Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Penn State etc. come to big games at Autzen. Maybe they will even bring some of their renown Big 10 bands.

Does this feel exciting to you? It does to me!

OT: RV Tailgating is even better than sliced bread!

When I first started tailgating 13 seasons ago, the early mornings and long drives home were okay. I mean, for the Stanford game in 2010, I was in Eugene by 5AM for Gameday and did not get home until well after 1AM. But over time my wife found it more and more difficult to make trips. Last year, I mostly drove down and back alone and there were some log a** days and nights where I was exhausted - which then shoots Sunday all to he** as well.

This year we got a spot with the Boy Scout lot next to Lane County Mental Health - and let me tell you, getting down on Friday night with a full night's sleep for Saturday AND then not having to drive back hom Saturday night is literally life changing. I felt so much more energy today. We had our normal folks turnout and I am really excited to be able to do this.

For what it is worth, I wrote the Fifth Quarter from the comforts of the RV rather than trying to get up after only 3 hours of sleep and do it for you...
