Any EE recruits count toward 2015?

We have several recruits already signed and eligible for this Winter term in Jan., 2016. Are any of those EEs eligible to be counted against the 2015 recruiting season? If I recall correctly, as long as we currently have fewer than 25 recruits from the 2015 recruiting season attending school for Winter term and also have fewer than 85 overall scholarship athletes in school, we can count a like number of the new Winter term enrollees against the 2015 class. If so, maybe we can sign 25 players in addition to some of those who will be enrolling in Jan., 2015!

Looks like Oregon will not get a chance with Jackson

Unfortunately weather took away any chances that we had with Lamar Jackson. In this interview he says he is down to four schools and Oregon is not one of them nor is there any mention of of a rescheduled visit. Looks like it's down to Bundage and a long shot in Brandon Jones to get another safety in this class. Jones is supposed to visit officially sometime in January. I've always felt Oregon was a ark horse in his recruitment, but it will be tough. We'll see if he even makes it to Eugene. I believe A&M was his leader so hopefully all the drama with the QB position and Sumlins seat heating up will help sway him to Eugene. One can dream right?

QB Scholarships

With the rush of commits recently, keeping track of where all of the scholarships are going has caught my attention, but most abruptly at the QB position. It is hard to believe that they will be giving out 4 scholarships to incoming recruits for this season (if we get Prukop) . Overall, they would have 6 w/o DP and 7 w/ DP.

Those number seem a little high. Obviously with DP, we would have 2 seniors but it still seems a little high. I feel like one (possibly more) would move on or move positions. The two that have been talked about the most are Mahalak and Wallace. Some people have thought MM may think about transferring, although others have heard differently. And with Wallace, we are unsure of whether he will come in as a QB or LB or WR. So if anyone had to speculate, who would move on/move positions and how many QB scholarships we end up with for the beginning of the '16 season.

Letter to Santa

Dear Santa:

This Christmas I would like peace and harmony and the following recruits to commit to Oregon:

1. Connor Murphy
2. Lamar Jackson
3. Nigel Knott
4. Javon McKinley
5. Scott Lashley

I know that would put us at 24 for this recruiting class but feel we'll need all 5 on the roster.

Sincerely,

A Well Behaved Duck Fan

PS. I know how busy you are so if you can't get this done by Christmas I would understand. Just make sure they send their commitment in by signing day.

For A.J. or Scott--Re: Tristan Wallace

We know that Tristan previously committed to tOSU as a QB and was rated by Rivals as a 3* QB, but then after his season was over, he flipped to the Ducks as an ATHLETE, where I think everyone but Rivals has him rated as a 4*. Indeed, he is universally rated as the #1 Athlete in the state of Texas. Is Rivals now going to rate him as a 4* Athlete in keeping w/ what is now his proper "position"? It is my recollection that Rivals will be coming out w/ one final rating sometime later this month and, if so, will you have a say in getting him rated as an ATHLETE and do you think he is, indeed, a 4*? I can't imagine him being the #1 Texas ATHLETE and being anything short of a 4 or 5*!
