Army vs Navy

This is the first time that the America's Game will be held in Massachusetts, as both the Naval Academy and Army West Point have announced that they will cycle cities for the next five years. The upcoming Army-Navy games are scheduled to take place in Washington D.C. in 2024, Baltimore in 2025, and New York City/New Jersey in 2026.

Flock Talk: A Couple Acres Greener

It is sometimes interesting to go back over old threads and reflect. Bo Nix is a Heisman finalist after a season in which he completed over 77% of his passes, threw for over 4000 yards with 40 passing touchdowns and just 3 interceptions.

Predicting 2024 NFL Draft Decisions for the Oregon Ducks

Powers-Johnson was probably the best offensive lineman the Ducks had this year. It felt like every week he was in the discussion for a top performer nationally or the Pancake Block of the Week.

His power, bend and athleticism for his size have made him hard to miss and the rest of college football would agree. He's a finalist for the Rimington Trophy which is given to the best center. JPJ's draft stock seems like it's soaring and it could be his time to make the leap.

Got my eye on 2025

Well, this was a good year for the Ducks even though the ending was disappointing. I know a lot of people are talking about next year being another big one, and I hope it is. But I have a feeling we will take a step back next year. I can’t imagine we will be as good at the QB position, and I am guessing we will lose some other important pieces. I am guessing a lot of young players will step up and get playing time and experience—but the inexperience will show. But we should be loaded with talent for 2025 and ready to make a statement. That is the year I expect Oregon to be a real playoff contenders. Some growth among our coaches will help as well.

Special Gift to UO B school

I know that this isn’t football news. I post it for a couple of reasons.Any gift that makes the UO a better university is a plus in recruiting student athletes. It seems to me that a lot of football players major in business.

Another reason to post things like this is because I feel that we need to recognize and honor those people who give major, transformative gifts to the University. These people are our university’s greatest
natural resource. They are our university’s heroes and I want to honor them for their generosity.
