10th assistant football coach and possible role

When the new rule on 10 assistant football coaches becomes effective how do you think Oregon will use this. Is it legal to have a full time coach scout future opponents?Make him Director of Scouting. Scout future opponents to better able the rest of the staff to game plan .

Or would it be better to have a full time recruiting coach.
Make him Director of recruiting.( my research into this indicates most teams are planning to make use of the the 10th assistant as a full time Director of Recruiting). He could then recruit year round while the rest of the coaches are spending most of their time during the season game planning.

Any other possible ideas?

Pagano decision coming soon...

We're hearing from sources that Clemson DT graduate transfer Scott Pagano will be making his announcement this week. I'll just give you a quote from the source who is very close to the situation.

"Scott Pagano has narrowed his choices to Oregon, Oklahoma, still Notre Dame or return to Clemson. Supposed to make a decision on Friday."

So it is no slam dunk but the important thing is that we will likely know one way or another soon and can mover forward from there. Would be absolutely huge.

NBA Draft Board Update

If you recall I posted this back on Feb. 22, 2017:
NBADraft.net has #41 Bell, #43 Boucher and #48 Brooks, Dorsey not listed.
DraftExpress has #38 Bell, #49 Boucher and #55 Brooks, Dorsey not listed.
Bleacher Report has #28 Bell, only did first round so none of the others listed.
Tankathon has #36 Bell, #38 Brooks and #56 Boucher, Dorsey not listed.
Metro has #40 Boucher, #49 Brooks and #60 Bell, Dorsey not listed.
NBA Draft Room has #29 Brooks, #38 Bell and #60 Boucher, Dorsey not listed.
Land of 10 has #38 Boucher, #41 Bell and #55 Brooks, Dorsey not listed.
Average Selection Number: Bell (40.2), Brooks (45.7), Boucher (47.7), Dorsey (Undrafted)

Updated April, 4, 2017:
NBADraft.net has #29 Bell, #44 Brooks and #54 Boucher, Dorsey not listed.
DraftExpress has #37 Bell, #38 Brooks, Boucher and Dorsey not listed.
Bleacher Report has #36 Bell, #49 Brooks, Boucher and Dorsey not listed.
Tankathon has #30 Brooks, #36 Bell, Boucher and Dorsey not listed.
Metro has #34 Bell, #44 Boucher and #45 Brooks, Dorsey not listed.
NBA Draft Room has #37 Brooks, #42 Bell, Boucher and Dorsey not listed.
Land of 10 has #42 Bell, #44 Brooks, #49 Boucher, Dorsey not listed.
Average Selection Number: Bell (36.6), Brooks (41), Boucher (Late 2nd/Undrafted), Dorsey (Undrafted)

So, both Bell and Brooks stock has risen slightly, but Boucher has dropped out of most mocks now and Dorsey still didn't register even after a good tournament.

I don't know what these guys will decide, but I'll stand by my contention that unless the non-seniors have their degrees, they should stay in school. No guaranteed contract for second round picks.

Rumors of Track Star Visiting

Shae Anderson, daughter of a former UCLA decathlete, has emererged as a name on the superstar high school talent radar.
She is the second ranked prep nationally in the the 300 hurdles. That's second ranked to high school US Olympian and all time greatest in high school history, Sydney McLoughlin (who has commited to Kentucky)

Shae just won the 200m at the prestiegious Arcadia...finishing one spot ahead of Jasmin Reed....and Reed is a sprinter, but Shae is a long hurdler! Reed did win the 100m at the Arcadia ...and I am hoping that she signs a NLI to UO this week.

Shae is an exceptional athlete, who is now being wooed by lots of college track programs.

I haven't, as yet, verified this, but according to a poster on the educk track board Shae will be visiting Oregon this weekend. Fingers crossed!!!!! I REALLY, REALLY, would like to see her compete as a Duck. As a side note, she attends the same high school as does Travis Dye.

Here is a tweet of her visiting USC...
