One hour to go now

The 3 commits we had so far are from last weekends visitors, none for the SG. I would have thought we'd at least get one by now, based upon what happened last year.

And I did take my daily patient pill, but it didn't work.

I spent a lot of time going through the photos trying to get all the recruits we possibly could. It was impossible to get everybody. I'll post those as I process them.

In the meantime, here are some game photos from yesterday.

Maybe I was alone, but I had wondered why we hadn't seen or heard more about him given what he did last year. Sounds like they don't want to wear him down, which makes sense.

As I look at it, this is the strongest secondary the Ducks have had in a while. Graham and Lenoir have reached maturity at corner, and Holland, Pickett, Gibson, Breeze and Stephens make a very strong group at safety that have all played quite a bit. There's exciting young talent behind them with length. Bridges, Wright, McKinley have the ability to contribute this year. Haki Woods got a 6th year. Kahlef Hailassie (6-2, 200) played in all 13 games last year.

Heyward and Clark have done a good job with this group. They've developed the depth and talent to match up with both big receivers and the multiple wide receiver sets.

Coupled with an aggressive, disruptive pass rush, they should be a real strength in an improved defense.

Sounds promising. Altman should have plenty to work with next year after all.

C.J. Walker
. The hybrid forward has gotten a lot stronger since last summer and shows tremendous versatility, particularly on defense. He is comfortable switching one through five defensively and despite giving up a lot of weight and strength to low post bully
Isaiah Stewart
, Walker didn't back down. He's still a work in progress in the halfcourt, but he could be a sneaky one-and-done candidate if it all comes together.

I don’t want to jinks them, but they are beginning to look like a contender.... men and women. Are they peaking early or just starting to blossom?

Ducks have invited as many as 100 recruits, numerous luminaries including NFL Hall of Famers Gary Zimmerman and Dan Fouts, all-time single game rushing leader Kenjon Barner and Jeremiah Masoli, a childhood hero of #1 recruit D.J. Uiagalelei.

The quarterbacks will be in red jerseys, but Mario Cristobal has promised this will be a real game with energy and urgency.
