Oregon limiting access to all athletic events...

EUGENE, Ore. – In conjunction with decisions announced today by the university, Oregon Athletics will activate attendance protocols for all home events due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. The adjusted attendance measures will take effect on Sunday, March 15, 2020 until further notice.

All Oregon Athletics home events will occur as originally scheduled but will continue to be evaluated. Attendance at athletic events at the University of Oregon will be restricted to:

· Competing student-athletes, coaches and staff

· Essential working personnel

· Families of competing student-athletes and coaches

· Credentialed media

· Recruits

With the health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans as the top priority, University of Oregon athletics will continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19.

Thank you for your understanding and for your commitment to the health and safety of the entire Duck community.

Ticket Refund or Exchange Information
Single-game ticket purchasers for lacrosse, acrobatics and tumbling, baseball and softball (including all tickets purchased for March 18 vs. USA Softball) will automatically receive a credit equal to their amount of purchase on their account, which could be applied toward any future Oregon athletics ticket purchase this year or in the 2020-’21 athletic year. Single-game purchasers preferring a refund rather than a credit may fill out this ticket refund form. Season-ticket holders will also receive credit for the number of games restricted, and more information will be communicated as the number of games impacted becomes available.

Interviews today...

I have three interviews scheduled for today; Mase Funa, Verone McKinley III and Coach Rod Chance. I'm going to explore with VMIII and Chance the new scheme they are adding for this season. Avalos referred to it the other day as "multiple" sets on the back end. I am hearing it is a new dime package which was not in place last season.

With Mase I'm going to get his update on the LB group and get his opinion of the newcomers on defense.

Technical issues with threads

Hello- I posted a few times this weekend about issues accessing the board and threads. I finally got an online session with a Rivals person this morning and once again he had me delete and reinstall the app on my mobile device. We did it multiple times and it looks like it solved my problem. He had no explanation for what might have gone wrong but at the end of our exchange did indicate Rivals did some system maintenance this weekend and that may have caused issues. So the net here is if you are experiencing some issues accessing the board from your mobile device delete the app and reinstall it. You may need to do this multiple times according to the tech person.

Thanks to Brandon and AJ for your help!

1 week early Bracketology BS

SDSU and Gonzaga both 1 seeds. Ducks a 4?? Tell you what, if the Ducks win the P12 outright, let alone win if they win the Confr. Tourney, this would be BS. Hopefully we land in the west, but those 2 would have lost at least a couple more games in the P12, which may not have powerhouses this year, but is better top to bottom than SDSU and Gonzaga's stupid conferences. All chatter til next Sunday, but I wouldn't mind being in the bracket with either one of those as the 1, lol. We lost to Zags by a pt w/o Dante, our developing monster in the middle!

OT, UNC's Mack Brown gets 4* 5.9 OT, that is...

Neat to see the old guy on such a recruiting role. Flipped a the youngest MAye Bro, a highly rated QB, from Bama last week too.And although I don't hate Clemson, but sick of them GA, Bama... getting all the best NC talent. The Mack attack is back when I thought he was done after the Ducks walloped Tex in the Alamo Bowl years back.

Spring camp: Saturday practice notes...

Ducks held their second practice of spring drills today and I was on hand for the 35 minutes or so it was open to the media to bring you these notes.

  • Lots and lots of recruits and their families on the sidelines today. That is because it is Junior Day! Saw a number of familiar faces who I just talked to last weekend, Jackson Light, Kyron Ware-Hudson plus several others.
  • NCAA does not allow interaction with recruits or parents when they are on campus so I had to be very careful. I was very pleased to at least be able to say hello to the Lights and Chance Ware-Hudson. Very strange how I can talk to them anywhere but when they are on campus. I don't understand that rule exactly.
  • One recruit who was here was Mission Hills DB DJ Justice. His dad ex-Brave David Justice was on the sideline and hammed it up when I took his picture. Nice guy.
  • No Boughnight there today. I took video of Coach Cristobal talking about hiring his replacement before practice.

  • I watched Jake Shipley for awhile today and liked him. He is not ready to play right now with not knowing the defense obviously. But...I would not be surprised if he impresses us this season. He has the frame, and the motor. His technique was decent and he was picking things up fast. He is a guy I was not thinking about for this year but you never know...
  • I also watched T.J. Bass. I definitely see him on the two-deep this year, probably guard. Not sure which side yet but he is ready to go by the end of fall camp I am sure.
  • Two guys who were not practicing were Brandon Dorlus and D. Leno. I hear both of them are sick, which is going around.
  • I'll add to this as I think of more but wanted to get out these notes. I will also share any pictures that are decent on this thread.
  • All for now.
