Justin Flowe says he feels 'really good,' ready to deliver for Ducks

Another great story from Mitchell Forde, who was a huge help for us yesterday.

Another Monster Hire for UO Track?

Nothing has been officially announced yet, but all signs point to Brian Blutreich becoming the new Oregon throws coach.

This is another monster hire. He has had great success at ASU. Track has stringent scholarship limitations, so this is an indication that there will be a change in emphasis on the program’s priorities. I do not know where they will pull back, but look for Oregon to become a throws powerhouse.

Line From Schumacher’s Introductory Presser

Just an aside note for everybody: I have never been a part of any track team. I am an ex football player. However, there is something about the Oregon track story and our Oregon track fans that has been special. Track and Field is the sport on which Oregon rests its greatness, be it through the creation of Nike, our legendary venue, or our NCAA titles.

Thank you for allowing me to share this on going story of over achievement with my fellow Duck football fans on this discussion board. Oregon T&F’s greatness is not just something from a glorious era of “yesteryear”. We are still witnessing the greatness of Oregon track today

Track is the world’s most universal sport. Be they wealthy countries or third world impoverished countries, every country has track.

Our university just hosted the first track and field World Championship ever on American soil. Now all over the World you can find someone who has heard of the University of Oregon, Hayward Field, or Eugene, Oregon. The stardom and legend just keeps growing . Buckle up and enjoy the ride. Our track program has become an international team of greatness.

Our jealous detractors claim derisively that Oregon track is only successful because of Nike. They have it backwards. Nike became successful because of Oregon track. Nike came out of Oregon track.

Things have never been better for Oregon’s best sport…. No brag, just fact. Go Ducks!

Oregon Media Day today

The Ducks have their own media day event today over at Autzen. As Jacob and Gabriel are not back in Eugene yet, I'm excited to introduce a new contributor who will pitch in here and there. Mitchell Forde, who is an experienced reporter who was previously featured on Rivals' Missouri site, is now based in Portland, doing transfer portal coverage for Rivals and helping us out. He's in Eugene today for media day. Dan Lanning speaks at 9:30 and Mitchell will relay any notable news in here. Then there are a couple hours of player interviews to follow. Look for a couple stories by the end of the day and something fun we're working on for the weekend.
