King Ches leads the way on the first day

The King may not be at 100%, but he had enough in him to win the 10k, big (expected) 10 points for the men

Congrats to Skipper for finishing 3rd in the hammer throw and picking up 6 more points.

Big ups to Cody Danielson for grabbing 2 points in the javelin.

Finally, sophomore Cole Walsh picked up another 1 for the Ducks finishing in a 3 way tie for 7th.

Huge day for the Ducks, and they are now projected to win by 1 point

#115 Deonte Johnson *
#121 Chuck Filiaga *
#124 Keith Taylor
#127 Hezekiah Jones ** (Ducks haven't backed off him, and with Baylor fallout)
#137 Alijah Vera-Tucker ** (Trending to *, not sure what happened here as Ducks led)
#141 Omar Manning
#144 Deangelo Gibbs
#146 Tyrell Shavers * (Top 10, might bump up to ** if Ducks make Top 5 and get a visit)
#147 Osiris St. Brown ** (Top 5, but definitely not one of the leaders atm)
#148 Jamyest Williams *
#152 Bryan Thompson
#155 Ryan Kelley
#156 Jordan Williams
#159 Malcolm Askew
#160 Chaz Ah You *
#166 Trey Sermon

#241 Salvon Ahmed ** (Likely UW)
#249 LaTrell Bumphus **

Only confident on the 2 line prospects Forsyth and Vohees in the 101-250 range, but these guys could be serious targets if Ducks offer:

#101 Kellen Mond * (Ducks would have to make up major ground)
#114 Will Ingot ** (Ducks would jump into contention with a RB offer)
#136 Adarius Lemons ** (Same as Ingot, offer as RB, Ducks would jump in)
#152 Bryan Thompson ** (Ducks watching closely)
#176 Isaiah Pola-Mao ** (Ducks keeping an eye on him)
#235 Elijah Blades ** (Don't think the Ducks will offer, unless others fall through)
#239 Jamire Calvin ** (Debated ***, would be a Neb/UO battle)

Big visitors coming.....

Deommodore Lenoir and two of his HS teammates, Nick Pickett and Rahyme Johnson, will be visiting Eugene on June 22nd. Lenoir is the only one out of the three who currently has an offer, but that may change after this visit. This is huge. Lenoir has stated that he planned on taking an official to Oregon and now that he's taking an unofficial as well it will only help the Ducks chances.

I think a big reason why he likes Nebraska so much is because Pickett and Johnson both have offers too so I think there is talk of a triple package deal. These three are best buddies so it makes sense that they'd want to stick together. If Oregon offers Pickett and Johnson watch out for Oregon to potentially lock them all up.

Ratu Mafileo update...

I talked to Ratu who is actually in Eugene right now. He got here this morning. He is on his official visit after committing to TAMU a week ago following his official there.

He really hasn't had a chance to see too much yet. He was about to go into some football meetings and then was going to get a campus tour after that.

He did not want to talk much about the possibility of switching his commitment but I could tell there is a possibility. It won't be during his visit I wouldn't think but after he takes his five official visits. His timetable is getting into his new school by fall camp as he has to take some summer classes.

He has matured a lot since I talked to him two years ago. He is an impressive young man to talk to now...I don't remember that from before.

Interestingly he says his recruitment is much hotter this time around than in high school. I think his time at the JC got him into better shape and refined his technique.

All for now.
