Keeping our practice edge . . .

A question for those of you closer to the program than myself: One thing Chip made Oregon famous for was his unique and innovative approach to practices and weekly game prep. High speed, very scientific (or maybe that was just a Philly), loads of reps, etc. I assume that Helf tried to run practices similar to the way Chip did. Now that we have an entirely new coaching staff, will we lose some of that innovation? Has that kind of stuff become a staple across CFB now similar to the way the No Huddle Spread Offense has? Is some of that innovation kind of 'built in' now with all of our high end training facilities. Just curious! I always loved hearing Gruden and other well known people talking about how fun it was to go watch Oregon practice.

Most Fun Ever

I don't think that I've ever had this much fun following Duck recruiting.

The year Chip flipped DAT was a lot of fun but this is like Christmas almost every day.

Going where no Duck has gone before (channeling Star Trek)...CWT is rocking.

Once he gets a seven or eight of those Florida kids up here he will have a pipeline started.

Prediction: I foresee lots of Florida and Southern kids coming up here as long as Willie is here (I know...duh).

I also think that, for Florida kids, it will become totally cool to go to Oregon to play ball. FSU, Miami, Florida, etc will still be there but I just have a feeling that we are gonna be cutting edge in Florida.

At least I hope so.

So much fun.....

Maryland DL Coach Mike London to become HC at Howard Univ.

So why is this important to Duck fans? Well, being that the Gaddy twins are currently committed to Maryland, and London was also the lead recruiter for Ellis Brooks, it would seem to at the very least increase our odds of flipping the Gaddy twins, and Maryland is a strong player in the recruitment of Ellis Brooks.

At one point Scott also mentioned Mike London as a dark horse candidate in our search for a DL coach. It will be interesting to see who Taggart actually hires as the DL coach.

Also of note, Darren Hiller, the OL coach on Coach Taggart's staff at USF is to become the OL/Co-Offensive Coordinator at Houston. Hopefully all the cards fall right and Mario Cristobal actually becomes our OL/OC.
