UO Track Most Golden!

Just so all of you know. Oregon/Alumni won more Gold medals in Track and Field than any other US University....I am not sure about the rest of the world's universities.

UO was tied for second in total track medals with Florida. USC won the most medals only if you count the three medals won by USC alumnae Alyson Felix. However, Alyson Felix never competed for the USC track team.

If you only count track athletes and alumni of college track teams, then it is a three way tie between Florida, USC, and UO for the total medal count in track and field. However, UO won the most Gold!.........and that makes us a little bit superior!

Go Duckies!

Polls

Last monday I was reading some duck info on my phone, and came across a headline saying in both the AP poll and the Coaches poll that Oregon had risen 7 spots in both. I tried opening the article but it would not open. Furthermore, when I got home, I couldn't find the article at all. Can anyone verify if this is true or not?

With the size of the OL......

are we going to see a more physical approach to the zone blocking scheme? Maybe a bit more success on the short yardage rushing attempts?

Man, we're pretty darn big....6'5" 310, 6'6" 310, 6'5" 295, 6'4" 300 and 6'6" 300. How quick are these freshmen, anybody have any idea. I can only assume they are quick to run our offense but nobody can say we are smallish any longer. Seems like in the not too far past we would be throwing guys out there in the 275 - 280 range more often than I liked anyways.

With the things Greatwood has mentioned (liking this group) I like the potential of this line and see big things ahead!

GO DUCKS!

Rahyme Johnson

Was reading the ticker, and one thing stood out to me is that Stanford has offered Johnson. I believe that HC David Shaw is a quality coach and respect him a bunch. I also think they look at character as much as we do. So a question has been born in my mind, is it really a character situation with Johnson, or the fact that their is a very small allotment for LBs this cycle, and McBride and Phillips stand higher on the board than Johnson?

Something worth talking about?

Anyone surprised to hear Helf was so transparent? Good or bad for recruiting? Right call? Future impact? Jonathan Vilma on ESPN said the decision to start Prukop would be disastrous for Duck QB recruiting in the near future. Is he right? If this solidifies over the course of thge season, what happens with Wilson and Jonsen?
