Florida QB Jordan McCloud talks Ducks

I recently had a chance to catch up with 2018 3-star QB Jordan McCloud out of Florida to talk about his offer from Oregon. McCloud is the brother of current Clemson WR an former 5-star Ray-Ray McCloud III.

Here's what he had to say about the Ducks:

Oregon: “They just offered me last week. They told me they see me as an athlete, I could be a quarterback or I could play something else. I feel like I could be a good quarterback at that school. That coaching staff, I’ve known them for a long time so it’s kind of like I have a family up there. “But it is different than having your real family and it is 3,000 miles away. That’s something you have to think about, but having the bond with the coaches makes it easier.”

Oregon has the attention of Florida WR Antoine Green

I recently had the chance to catch up with Florida WR Antoine Green to talk about his offer from Oregon and it's safe to say he's very excited about it.

Here's what he had to say:

On Oregon: “Oregon shows a lot of love. I like Oregon, it’s a very nice school. I never thought I would be able to be recruited by them. I just fell in love with Oregon when I was younger. Coach Johnson is there now. I love that dude. Coach Taggart is cool. Coach Taggart came to watch me play in the fall. I saw him in the end zone and that was a big deal. I’m glad they remembered me when they went to Oregon and I’m going to keep building that relationship.”

Rivals100 Georgia LB Zakoby McClain hearing a lot from the Ducks

I recently caught up with 4-star LB Zakoby McClain to talk recruiting and he mentioned the Ducks as a school that continues to show him a lot of love. I think distance could be a hurdle here but it's clear he has an affinity for Oregon.

Here's what he had to say about the Ducks:

Oregon: “I liked that offer a lot because I grew up liking Oregon. I loved the uniforms and all that stuff. I don’t know if I could really see myself going that far for school but it depends.”

Let's hope Kansas can't repeat that performance!

Obviously this will be a tough, tough game to win but we have nothing to lose IMO. The whole country other than Ducks will be saying Kansas will beat us. We need to stay out of foul trouble, make our FT's, rebound well and have some more help from anybody not named Dorsey, Bell and Brooks!

What the heck....let's go to the final four, nothing better to do.....:)

GO DUCKS!

OREGON vs MICHIGAN

Ducks meet Michigan Wolverines in The Sweet Sixteen segment of The Big Dance.
Thursday, March 23
4:10 p.m.
CBS

When I do something well, my partner kind of thinks I need to do it well all the time. There's a problem with that. I don't always do it as well those other times.

Ducks were incredible on the offensive boards against RI. That same behavior will go a long way in downing the Wolverines. They need to hear it from my better half. Our Ducks are phenomenal getting to the basket with the ball. Let's make some of those layups!

Michigan's Wagner killed Louisville offensively from every angle around the bucket. He must be blocked out and not given his way when the ball is in his hands. Wagner, who had 26 points in the win over Louisville, is extremely versatile on the floor with or without the ball. He was 11 for 14 from the floor against the cardinals while teammate Walton dished 6 assists. Walton had a cold shooting hand the entire game and the Ducks need to keep it that way. Michigan had 6 turnovers.

OK! Here we go! Another opportunity exists for this Duck Team to show the whole Duck Family "THEY CAN DO IT FOR 40 MINUTES!" Maturity has a lot to do with whether or not they can pull it off. I know they can do it. They are a fantastic group of young men with the ability to GO. ALL. THE. WAY!

Ducks by 11. GOooo Ducks!

New big time center graduate transfer

According to http://oregon.247sports.com/Board/45/Contents/Big-Basketball-News-Rumor--51888336 Oregon will be announcing a graduate transfer big time center in the next few weeks. According To Duck4Ever who started this thread, the information comes from a very trusted source. Bigby-Williams will be red shirted at his own request( he was originally scheduled to red shirt this year but with Cage going down with an injury he was forced to play instead.

Jamal Elliott sets visit...

Right after the Ducks offered 4-star APB Jamal Elliott, he decided that he will visit for the spring game.

I think it is safe to say he is interested. I followed him on twitter a minute ago and he followed me right back instantly. That always means the prospect likes the Ducks. I'll talk to him later today so stay tuned.

Wednesday War Room: 3/22/2017

Good morning all,

Been quite the week, the wreck has curtailed my time to a degree, but did get some time in for the Wednesday War Room.

Nothing shockingly stunning. I have been told that 'something exciting' will be coming in April (though an announcement may even get pushed to May), it involves at least one member of the staff and is a good thing, but cannot get much more detail out.

Some of the thoughts today:

1) Don't worry too much about Trey Lowe and Braden Lenzy. The Duck staff has some at a higher priority level, but they have not 'given up' on any prospect. It is still very, very early in the process and, if needed, the coaches will circle back around.
2) Isaiah Bolden is far from a long shot. If his family likes the visit and sees a good fit, expect good news shortly after the visit.
3) I took a stab at some basketball thoughts this week. I don't do enough coverage of the sport, but with both the men and women making the sweet 16, I thought it was worth a spot int eh 'Something to Talk About' segment.

Enjoy your day all!
