🦆10 Ducks who have the most to prove during Oregon's spring football season

The Ducks brought in a lot of talent at the cornerback/defensive back spot this offseason, adding Jabbar Muhammad, Kam Alexander, Brandon Johnson, and Kobe Savage. While Manning had a solid season as a rotational player and occasional starter in 2023, he’s going to need to take another step up in order to be a major part of this Oregon defense going forward. That starts in the spring, where a standout showing in the spring game could go a long way.

Four-star receiver Adrian Wilson has opened his recruitment back up this afternoon. The 102nd-ranked prospect in the 2025 class has been committed to the Ducks since late July but he will now look elsewhere for another future home. He had been committed to TCU prior to picking the Ducks. Oregon is in a good spot for several top receiver targets in the current and upcoming classes and continues to make a strong push for five-star pass catcher and LSU commit Dakorien Moore, who is currently rated No. 4 overall in the 2025 class.

Jay's getting away with murder

I mean the first time Cuisinard got the ball that big thug hammered his bad shoulder, hard. Just now they put a freakin' choke hold on him. Not one FT by the Ducks?
And don't get me started about the announcers. Dante was guarding 3 pt shots in the first half, blocked at least 1-2 and misdirected a few others.
The Ducks better win this because the Ducks ARE getting fouled and many of them hard, if not dirty.
That play where Shelstad got hurt? The Jay's guard shove the crap out of him, causing him to fall.
Dante is a beast, but somehow never gets fouled?
Enough of this we like Creighton BS!

Legislature Contemplates Liability Protection from Angry NIL Recipients

Pretty crazy how this is written. Paid for content in the O, but here's a couple clips.

The proposed bill to amend Oregon’s state law regarding college athlete name, image and likeness (NIL) compensation contains ambiguous language in its liability protection for colleges and universities and their employees and lacks an “enforcement mechanism” for the state if the NCAA were to violate it, according to the state Legislature’s legislative counsel.
********************
HB 4119 would prevent college athletes in the state from suing schools or their employees for “any damages” to their ability to earn NIL compensation due to “any decision or action” made by the school or employee considered to be “routinely taken” in college sports or pertaining to the identification, facilitation, enabling or supporting of NIL opportunities for the athlete.

An opinion letter on the bill doesn't think it will work. Back to the drawing board.

The Dance

Duck play at 4:00 out here today on TRUTV.

Colorado got though the first four last night in a game where it looked like neither team had practiced layups before. Their 3 pt attempts were way less than impressive. I think the Buffs got the only win they are going to get but PAST12 is 1-0 for now. I'd like to see them take down the Gators but they'll have to put a different team on the floor to do it.

'He's ready now': How touted Oregon football receiver Jurrion Dickey attacked offseason

Now it's Dickey's turn, at least per offensive coordinator Will Stein.
