In Leavitt Year Two, one of the things I think we will see from the Ducks is the power of synergy. The secondary has become a strength of the team with the emergence of Deommodore Lenoir, Thomas Graham and a deep group at safety. We'll see more coverage sacks, while more pressure on the quarterback leads to riskier throws, rushed decisions and altered passes. The young linebackers are bigger, more talented and more athletic than the group that graduated, able to pursue, shed blocks and get leverage in space.
This will be a swarming, aggressive defense, with a front three that provides relentless energy. Their position coach certainly does.
I have a very in-depth article coming from an interview with Kyle Smith. Very off the radar at the moment, but really great conversation with the young man.
I try not to pick on them too much, but this one has to sting. Picking a Mt. West (albeit a good Mt. West program) over a Pac-12 school? Not sure how long it's gonna take OSU to dig out of their current hole.
Just saw a twitter with Dollars in full FSU gear saying "When You know You Nole". Anything to worry about or is WT just messing with us? I am a little worried now.
I have put together a version of my web app for creating and tracking T&F form charts for this weekends Pac-12 championships. It is loaded with the current entries for each event and projects scores based on the seed time (which are season's best performances). As usual you can make your own projections by re-ordering finish positions of the athletes with drag and drop. It has the completed Multi-events already scored and will update the scoring throughout the competition (with some delay)...
