Ducks offer '21 Brock Dieu

Hey everyone, my name's Cody Cameron and I'm a recruiting analyst for the Rivals affiliate ArizonaVarsity.

Oregon offered Casteel High School (Gilbert, AZ) OL Brock Dieu this past Friday. It's Dieu's first Power 5 offer. The 6'2 280 LB OT is one of the most athletic lineman in the entire state in the 2021 class

Login to view embedded media Dieu has great footwork and a violent strike. Watch the play-side pull play at the 33 second mark on those highlights.

I talked to Casteel OL Coach Mike Till today about Dieu's athleticism and this is what he said, "Brock has awesome footwork, he almost runs like a TE, but he's one of the strongest lineman we've had. Brock works hard at his craft, works on his get off, and works on his violent hands. As a sophomore he squatted almost 500 LBs. For a guy his size he moves really well. He's not afraid to be violent, he will rip your face off. His athletic ability is what separates him from a lot of other kids."

Brock played phenomenally well against incoming Nebraska Freshman Ty Robinson and Class of '20 DE Jason Harris last year.
He's a really humble kid with a tremendous work ethic.

If any of you have any Q's about Arizona High School football players and their recruitments shoot me a DM on Twitter @codytcameron anytime!

Sorry you have to deal with AJ and Scott on here, those guys are big time trouble makers!!!

SNL LIVE! thread...

I am going to get this started now as we start to gear up to head to Autzen because much easier here than from my phone on the sidelines. :)

Tom and I will be focused on getting photos so Brandon will be your eyes on the ground for the event. I'll chime in when I get back to DSA HQ afterwards.

Join us around 4:00 pm for updates and observations.

A note on 2021 Rivals100 QB Caleb Williams...

I'll have more from Caleb in the next couple days but the early word is that he had great time and that Oregon is being considered as a very serious option. Even though he hasn't officially said it, Georgia and LSU were the top two contenders heading into this weekend and we'll see over the next few weeks if Oregon moved into that group.

I will say this, this could be the typical "post-visit high" we see from recruits after any visit. We'll see how/if Oregon can sustain any momentum they picked up this weekend.

USA Championships

I just watched a 4:00 telecast

The next telecast will be st 8:00. On NBC

If you missed the 4:00 telecast, you didn’t miss seeing any Ducks. The 8:00 broadcast will have a bunch of Oregon entries, including Devon Allen, Raevin Rogers, and Matt Centrowitz.
Rogers, and Phyllis Francis ... it’s like s parade of Oregon legends. I can’t wait!

Bryce Foster: SNL visit update

I've been chatting with the 2021 Texas OG this morning. He and his family are still in Oregon, driving to the coast today.

I think the Ducks made a big impression on them. Very much put themselves in the running for this most excellent offensive guard.

Conventional wisdom says he stays in SEC country but I don't know about that. Ducks have a legit shot here.

SNL coverage tomorrow...

The schedule for Saturday is 4:15 pm the event begins at Autzen and at around 5:45 they are kicking media out. We will have three people on hand:

  • A.J. Jacobson
  • Tom Corno
  • Brandon Gibson
Tom and I will be shooting the event so will not be very active online during it. We will have a live thread which Brandon will run with realtime observations from Autzen.

I'll start processing and releasing photos on Saturday night and all day Sunday.

Then also starting Sunday we start trying to get hold of attendees to see what they thought.
