I wanted to make this one special. Lost my dad 5 years ago this month. He raised me with football all around, and instilled in me this love for football. This post is to remember him. But also, I wanted to thank all of you for sharing this love of Duck football, and providing me with so many laughs and so much information. Thank you AJ and Scott specifically for providing all that this site provides. GO DUCKS!!!

Opinions on O.O.C. games, coupled with the 9 game conf. schedule.

There is a lot of talk about how hard it is for the Pac-12 to get to the Play-off games with the nine conference games. Add on a tough out of conference game like Auburn and it is very tough to do as we just witnessed. Should Oregon schedule an easier O.O.C. schedule?
If you think yes you won't like the next 11 years....take a look at this tough schedule of teams.

2020 - The Ohio State here.
2021 - The Ohio State there.
2022 - Georgia there.
2023 - Texas Tech there.
2024 - Texas Tech here.
2025 - The other OSU (Cowboys) here and Boise State there.
2026 - The other OSU there and Boise State here.
2027 - Baylor there.
2028 - Baylor here.
2029 - Michigan State there.
2030 - Michigan State here.

Obviously we don't know where these teams will be years out but for the most part year after year all these teams are tough and some beyond tough!

Thoughts??????

Has Jevon Holland regressed? Or just been in some tough matchups?

First off, let me say I love Jevon Holland as a player. He's smart, has a great foundation in the game and plays his heart out. Over the season he's made some huge impact plays for the Ducks.

In the last couple weeks however he's been burned on some deep passes, a couple for touchdowns.

Has he been exposed in the Nickle position when he'd be more comfortable and more suited to safety? Is it a case of "hats off to the offense, they just made a play" Or does the sophomore need more improvement in his one-on-one cover skills?

The combination of Brady Breeze and Nick Pickett at safety sure worked. Breeze played the game of his career, and Pickett is always physical and active.

Be interesting what Heyward, Williams and Avalos cook up for the RPO-heavy Penn State offense.

Jaden Navarrette: Fullback?

I know we don't employ a fullback regularly, and I do NOT think we're recruiting him for that. I was watching just Junior tape of him on YouTube, and there's a few highlights of him lead blocking for the tailback on inside runs, where he really comes in and lays the lumber on some of those opposing linebackers. If you're a highly recruited kid (top ten of players listed as an ATH in the country) and you're willing to do things like that without the ball in your hand, to help your team.... I'm ALL in on that.
