Gut Reaction

1. Bo is a stud and competitor. Thank you Bo for putting EVERYTHING on the line. You are appreciated
2. Alex Forsythe deserves a tone of credit. See line 1. Love that guy
3. Thompson will be and should be transferring. No threat to pass. Would've preferred Butterfield
4. Bucky is special.
5. Tosh is not cutting it. This defense reminds me of the Helfrich era.
5B. Feel for our defense b/c they are much better than the schemes they have to play.
6. PAC-12 Officials are "officially the worst in all of college football.
7-10. I hate everything about Washington. From the colors to every single player that has ever donned a Husky uniform. I loathe them.

This Week's "Other Game" Thread

TCU v TX is the obvious biggie, but there are some other 1 loss teams still in the hunt like Tenn which is up on Mizzou in the 1st half.14/7. UNC only has one loss and are playing a good Wake team at 4:30. I doubt a 1 loss UNC or Clemson would get in over UO or USC, but they would certainly plead their case. ESPN has TX at 73% probability of taking down TCU. Most of the best matchups seem to be at around 4, prime time east coast and overlapping the Fuskies..

Possible December commitment for IMG four-star 2024 DT David Stone

Stone updates his overall recruitment with a possible Dec. commitment coming. Stone is trying to get his Oregon visit in before he commits.

The DSA Roundtable: Oregon-UW rivalry edition!

I really enjoy putting these together with the guys each week. This was a fun one -- great perspective from Scott and Brandon about their personal memories of this rivalry.

HS Playoff Lineup

Sheldon must be considered a favorite. WL vs Sheldon would be cool, but iirc, Sheldon might have stomped them already? Some good players on these teams, including two UO coach's sons at Sheldon.

Oregon has decided to jump into the recruitment of three-star Wisconsin WR commit Trech Kekahuna tonight. Junior Adams offered the 5-foot-10 receiver from Bishop Gorman HS in Las Vegas (by way of Honolulu). He committed to the Badgers back in June, but there have obviously been changes there this fall. So, the Ducks are going to make a run at him. Oregon already holds a commitment from one Bishop Gorman player, Kodi Decambra, and there are continued connections to Hawaii for the staff.

Kekahuna has had a really impressive season so far at Bishop Gorman as he has caught 35 passes for 617 yards and 12 touchdowns.

MBB Class of 23 Stojakovic to Announce Monday

Dude's gonna be good and has the Ducks as a finalist. Top 25 in most databases, but since his parents are overseas and want to watch him play, he wants to be where it's" Easy for them to access." UO, Furd, UCLA and TX. OF those, I'd guess UCLA, but any of them are gonna be a long haul. Probably just a hat, but you never know.

WBB update.

Kennedy Basham the freshmen center (6'7') hurt her knee in the first game the other day and the hope is to have her back by the league opener. With Prince out with the elbow surgery for the year we are all of a sudden small and not deep. That leaves 9 players until Kennedy get's back. Graves say's he liked the smaller amount of players he has (10) but now you see the bad side of carrying that few. I believe womens basketball is allowed up to 15 players (may be wrong there).
Obviously they cannot afford any more injuries and the lack of depth down low is alarming!

Track Early Signings coming in

I just want to state that track is different than football and basketball in that recruiting and signing really goes on all year and through the summer. However, this will be the beginning of the signing period.

We already know about several athletes that made public announcements. However, there are usually surprises, especially from the international athletes and the transfers.

I’m excited. Oregon track is in a transition. It will be evolving and changing. If you find throws boring, then you might not like one of our major power shifts. However, Oregon will continue to get sprinters, and great distance runners.

There is a lot of track talent on the planet. You can find track athletes in every country on every continent. Our NCAA competition will be formidable, snd that’s good. Competition only makes the meets more exciting. Let’s see how the early signing class looks. I have a feeling that they will sign good students who are great athletes. They will represent our university in manner that will make us all proud of them.
