Oregon picked 12th in preseason USA Today Sports AFCA coaches poll
Oregon will begin Dan Lanning's first season as the 12th-ranked team in the USA Today top 25 coaches poll.

For the second year in a row, Oregon has been picked 12th in the USA Today AFCA top 25 coaches poll that was released today. Utah was voted 8th while USC is at No. 15 as the only other two Pac-12 schools to make the list. Five coaches from the conference get a vote: Jake Dickert (WSU), Kalen DeBoer (UW), Jedd Fisch (Arizona), Herm Edwards (ASU) and Kyle Whittingham (Utah).
Georgia, Oregon's first opponent, will begin the season at No. 3.
