McKay Madsen talks Oregon following visit to Eugene for Ducks' rivalry triumph Washington

The 3-star linebacker from California has the Ducks in his Top 3 alongside BYU and UCLA. He was on campus Saturday to soak in the atmosphere and watch Oregon dominate rival Washington, 49-21. This is what he said to Duck Sports Authority about his experience in Eugene:

"It was great. I brought my Dad, and my brother, for his first Oregon experience. We got in around 1 p.m. and headed to the football facility for a pregame meal and talked with some guys I met at the SNL Camp. I never get tired of being on the field during pregame because it's the closest I can to imagine myself playing in front of thousands. The game experience is immersive, and the traditions are always fun. After the game, we headed back to the facility to have some dinner and meet with the coaches. It's pretty cool just having casual conversation with the minds behind the best team in college football."

USC's Moss is outa There

Not a good look for SC. I wonder if that's whey they replaced him a couple of games ago? Wants to play for a contender, lol.

This is Crazy: MBB AP top 25

I'm ok I guess with UO's ranking, but Bama ahead of us? At least flip there spots. Heck, ATM is still at 22, and SDSU was pretty solid too. SEC bias?

I think I prefer the 5 seed

We've all seen plenty of discussion around the setup of this year's seeding and the more info I see, that #5 is looking more and more attractive.

Playing the weak B12 champ at home should be a win then the weakest of the 4 'bye' teams in the 2nd round. Add to this the time off. I didn't realize until yesterday that those 'bye' teams are off for two weeks before their playoff game.

All of this in my head makes me feel like the 5 is the path.

Oregon and OSU are locked into those 2 spots regardless. It'll either be us at 1 and OSU at 5 or the other way around.

Go Ducks!

Bott Mulitalo Scouting report

I guess driving home on Sunday morning instead of Saturday night does have at least one drawback - I am on the road during multiple commitment announcements! Here is a quick Impact and Scouting Report story on Oregon's newest commit Bott Mulitalo II

MBB Bama

Up 5 with 31 seconds! We got us a team. Gonna be a long 25 seconds. What a night Duck fans. Top 10? Bittle is great, but I'd rather see others taking more of the 3's. After last year you gotta be happy for him.

Elijah Melendez

On Friday I got a message from Auburn folks asking if he was on our visit list. Word had percolated that he might visit again this weekend. At the end of the day Friday it sounded as if that was just a rumor and seemed unlikely. John Garcia said he was not scheduled for any visits this weekend. I checked through all of our photos and also did not see him. Possible that 'secret' visitors did not come out of the tunnel? Absolutely. But for now the only visitor not on my iniital list that I spotted was Mulitalo and 2025 DL commit Matt Johnson.

Will update with more when I can.
