If Burmister isn’t going to throw the ball in the over the middle of the field or can’t throw an accurate ball to either sideline we might as well see what Irwin can do.
Can't avoid all injuries, but I think with all starters healthy, we might have only one loss so far. I also think Stanford would be a win. This is said as I'm finishing up watching the Cal vs WSU game.
Wow, check out Bell's final pre season game, where he started. 11 rb's, 10 pts, 2 steals and 2 blocks, all in 25 mins. He's on the team, dugh, they paid $3m just to draft him.
I hope they stick with him for this game. He made some real bad reads last week and should have kept the ball a few times when the linebacker came crashing down on Freeman. On the 4th and 1 early in the game he would still be running it was so open. Here is why he will be much better and Ducks have a very good chance in this game
1) Got his feet wet and should be better adjusted to the speed
2) Another week of practice as the starter
3) Less pressure on the road
4) Has his two best receivers back
5) Standford D not as good as WSU ( does not exactly roll off the tongue)
Need to get the kid as much experience as possible. No reason to play Allie unless he is practicing night and day better
What a ton of talent. Last year they had a 7 man rotations,which i actually like (until there's an injury or foul trouble). This year Altman will have to play a bunch of guys early in the season, narrowing the list as the season goes on. Depending on who they sign in the current recruiting class, we could see some departures after this season.
