Predict-a-score: Rose Bowl

A little late start for the prediction thread so maybe we will just have one prediction. So I better make it good.

I think Oregon has a better overall team than Wisconsin. The biggest difference I see is when the Duck defense and the Wisconsin offense are on the field. Oregon has better defensive speed than Wisconsin is used to seeing aside from Ohio State. Long story short...

Oregon 32 - Wisconsin 24

Rose Bowl factors and factoids

Jonathan Taylor has been held under 120 yards 5 times this year. In their regular season loss to tOSU the Buckeyes limited him to 20-52.

He's a GREAT back. Over 6000 career yards. Leading scorer in Division 1. Balance, explosiveness and power. A tackle-breaking machine.

But an athletic, pursuing defense that tackles well can slow him down.

It would help the Ducks immeasurably to get out to a lead and force the Badgers to pass more.

Jack Sloan is accurate and smart, but more than a third of his passing yards go to Quintez Cephus. It's a very unbalanced aerial attack and Lenoir and Graham should match up well.

The UW o-line is powerful but not especially agile in their footwork. They can be beat with quickness. KT and Mase/Young/Faoliu may be able to create some havoc off the edge.

Still, the Big Ten West champs are disciplined and cohesive. This shapes up to be a tough, four quarter ball game.

Wisconsin's kicker is 12-18 this year on field goals.
